While I can say that Larry Merchant can come off as a little condescending sometimes, the man does know boxing. He's been in the game for a long time and just because he doesn't box himself, doesn't mean he doesn't know **** about it either. It's obvious he has a passion for it or else he wouldn't have stuck around as long as he has.

I can understand Mayweather's point by thinking Larry was trying to "reign on his parade", but there had to be a classier way to go about it than that. Then again, I am talking about Mayweather, and class has never been one of his strong points......

I agree. That was wrong of Floyd, I thought Floyd was disrespectful. I like Floyd, but I didn't think Merchant's question warented that kind of response. Merchant was just asking a question. And I agree Larry knows boxing.
