margarito is a nobody..that fact that he is mexican like you won't fill many seats. floyd keeps getting disrespected he should retiree and let the ****s spew in their hatred and own ****Now, he says he doesn't need boxing which he doesn't he's made some good money. But, i got to wonder what his talk was all about when he said, "im fighting for my legacy." He done enough to be remembered but imo, a big "?" mark will be on his record for not fighting Margarito.

floyd is probably saying that he is retiring or is going to retire because he can't sell **** for tickets. the fight had piss poor ticket sales and i bet the ppv was **** too. i know for a fact that they lost out on a 100+k on the fight because they had it blacked out on ppv here in vegas.
the only time they do that is when the fight has **** for sales, probably less than half the seats were sold, and in those tickets sold a good chunk of those tickets are compt by the casino to high rollers and such.
what gets me is that since they're hurting for money why shut off any city that can generate revenue.
i live in vegas and i was going to go to the fight, but i'm a but under the weather so i decided to stay home and get the ppv, they blacked it out and i was REALLY pissed! whoever decided to blackout the ppv is a ****ing moron, because they lost out on what ever money they could make on vegas ppv.
what they fail to realise is that locals don't go to the strip and don't like going to the strip especially on weekends. so the logic of blacking out the ppv in hope of that vegas natives would come down to watch is absurd. that was a real bad decision and cost them a fair chunk of change,
so back to the topic at hand, i think floyd is getting sick and tired of not being a big cross over star and is getting frustrated with ****ty turn outs on his fights, crowd wise. when you're as talented as him and undefeated and you can't sell out your adopted home town shows, i'm sure he wants to quit and call it a career.
and i still think that whoever made the decision of blacking out the ppv has no business in the making money business.
i think floyd should retire as good as he is he isn't a draw to the general public, and that's where the big bucks are, ask DLH........Comment

You sound like a little kid. If that were true what you are saying, which im thinking its not the reason he'd retire, but if it is, then floyd ain't as mentaly tough as i thought he was.
Mosley was never a big draw and i belive he still isn't. Most all his fights had a regular of 3-5 thousand people, though thats a great number of people, its nothing near of the status he was held to at one time, not not equalling the filled arenas by Delahoya, Vargas and Gatti.floyd is probably saying that he is retiring or is going to retire because he can't sell **** for tickets. the fight had piss poor ticket sales and i bet the ppv was **** too. i know for a fact that they lost out on a 100+k on the fight because they had it blacked out on ppv here in vegas.

I aggree with some people that say this is a ploy so floyd can sell more tickets or at least make newspaper headlines.Comment

It does say that he said he'll retire after the next one.Comment

I dont think its his fault he doesnt draw. Lets be real the main reason DLH drew was because he was Mexican American and good looking. He had a diverse fanbase. he can appeal to females and the huge Mexican fanbase. Mayweather doesnt have an appealing style to the casual fan either.Comment

there you go a reitrement match between floyd and oscar. that's what it is all leading up to i bet.
sounds funny retorement match, almost like wrestling, The Retirement Match, but in this case instead of one being forced to retire they're both going too. haha, it's all marketing hype to try and build due to the fact that floyds ticket sales are ****.Comment
