The more i see mayweather, the more i see pernell whitaker

I am convinced now his style along with his arrogance and brash remakes and comparisons will always haunt him as fans and certain writers alike await the day he meets his match (or a big punch). I remember being a teenager thinking the same thing about whitaker, although in that time interviews etc were harder to come by, i just seem to remember whitakers dominance was with little fanfare amongst the casual public. floyd tries hard to sell himself, but after tonight, unless he gets that fight with DLH, i dont think it will ever happen.

Fans love it when you stand in there, and floyd just is not going to do that, and i wouldnt want him too, however, i now awknowledge floyds stardom will only take him so far. If it wasnt for the fact that i prefer defensive masters/moving boxers, id feel as some of you do. However, i DO NOT, feel he runs, i do feel he moves, but this isnt ****ing corey spinks were watching.

I do feel his p4p status is definately warranted however no matter what you all say. But Floyd is just intelligent enough not to fight with his heart in terms of "wars", i understand his hand was hurt, none of us can get mad at a man for hurting his hand and not wanting to hit rockhead carlos however. Dont pretend like you would neither.haha.

Ever since the N'Dou fight Floyd has been fighting guys, going for KO's, being the aggressor, and stalking the opponent in most cases. I think tonight and probally for the rest of his fights in the future he just realizes that these guys are probally too big for him too be trading with.

One thing that people dont give him credit for is his size. That should be the most talked about thing in the sport right now. How Floyd is fighting these guys 10x bigger then him. He walks around at 149 and is fighting at 147. Most guys like him would be fighting at 135 or 140 at the least. He may fight at 154 in his next fight and he doesnt even get that high when he isnt fighting. Guys like Baldy walk around at 185, Margarito probally goes around at 175, Williams the same, Oscar and so on. All these guys are huge compared to Floyd and they want him to slug with them. Its unfair and he doesnt get enough credit for just even fighting these huge guys. He could be at the lower weights dominating and killing guys for years

I agree 100%. Floyd is very much like old Sweet Pea. Both amazing boxers you'd really like to see get beat up bad.

The best thing about this though, is that i have been able to watch mayweather in his prime, and i can finally say i followed a outstanding fighter from start to finish, from the 96 olympics to now, i have watched floyd as well as others. When i see people posting, i just recall what alot of people were saying about whitaker when i was young and was watching him. I remember the Chavez fight when i saw it with a huge crowd of mexicans at a neighbors house as everyone just KNEW chavez would kill him, and as i saw chavez get schooled, a great fighter like chavez mind you, had no answer for whitakers defensive minded hit and move style. I feel the same aura watching PBF fights among detractors, just look at how many people here were just wishing and hoping baldomir would land that big punch, and it just never happened.

Then its "WELL I DONT REMEMBER ANYONE SAYING BALDOMIR WOULD WIN". One poster in particular (reich) posted up a picture saying this would be like taylor/chavez. It was nothing close to that and its a little strange to see someone get ripped apart for blowing somebody out and in the second half of the fight, only needed one arm to do it. But i know thatsjust the nature of boxing, and any sport, that when your on top people are waiting to take you down.

Just like how much i hate the ****ing patriots, i love it when they lose..and keep losing, because im a hater haha.
