You guys are mad at him for comprehensively destroying his opponent who was severly outclassed? I though his persormance was absoultely brilliant, using all of his tools to totally befuddle his opponent.

that's not what Merchant was arguing, he was argueing the lack of effort in the final 3-4 rounds of the 12 round fight... people need to note the differenceComment

Like I said comprehensively destroying your opponent, at that point you do whatever the hell you feel like doing. Also floyd ****ed his right hand up hitting this rock headed fool in the 5th or 6th. He won the rest of the fight injured. He's the best fighter in the world, not the most powerful. After injuring his hand i'm sure he figured he wasn't going to knock this guy out, period. So he focused on completing the fight and not making any costly mistakes. He's the finest technician this sport has to offer, and I love watching him do what he does. He's a winner, and to me his style is the epitome of perfect boxing.Comment

floyd put on a defensive clinic tonight and as usual, showed why he has the best defense in the game. his shots were on point and he didn't take any chances with baldo and for the people who say the fight was boring shame on you. for the people who blame floyd for the fight being boring than shame on you. what about when baldo said this fight would be easier than the judah fight or when baldomir claimed he would knock mayweather out? i don't see too many of you commenting on that. floyd made the fight fun to watch because of how bad he made baldomir miss and how he hit him at the right time. floyd put on a boxing extravaganza and he clearly dominated carlos. much respect to carlos, he came to fight imo but was out-classed by the better fighter. he has nothing to be ashamed of. he had a fantastic year and deserved everything he got this year and i am proud of his achievments. floyd is still the p4p king and for good reason. he showed his quickness tonight and technical brilliance against a tough fighter. congradualtions floyd for your well deserved victory. he's still undefeated so deal with it.Last edited by pbftxrs316; 11-05-2006, 01:49 AM.Comment
