Larry just asked the questions the fans wanted to ask. I mean the place was loud with boo's.
PBF and Larry Merchant after fight interview

The pre-fight entrance and post-fight interview were more exciting than the entire fight itself LOL. Merchant asked about Floyd's hand after the fight (he apparently hurt his right hand in the 6th round..not broken though), then asked how floyd could call the fight entertainment when people were booing and leaving after the 10th round (floyd did dominate the fight, but it was boring as all hell), then Merchant asked about possibility of De La Hoya and inbetween Floyd started belittling Merchant and saying he "knows nothing about boxing" and should "stick to commentating" etc...Comment

umm well Floyd said something lke "i could have knocked him out near the end but he had so much heart and i brought it on and it was a good fight--the fans got a great show.fights"
To which larry merchant said "well there were people booing and leaving the arena before the 10th round and you didnt seem" he was gonna talk about how floyd just ran and the ***** is boring and mayweather went off on im saying hes the boxer..let him box and that larry should stick to commentating and Larry said i am..this is my job and tried to get his questions answered on why floyd that it was an exciting fight when it wasnt and if he expected people to wanna see him (ODL) in there more.Comment

PBF shouldn't have promised a KO if he wasn't going to fight to where he would be in a position to do so. Glad Merchant called him out on it.
Jim Gray didn't hold back tonight either. Doesn't sound like boxing fans got anything worthwhile to watch tonight. Hope next two weekends go better...Comment

What is wrong with larry? It was a great boxing lesson,i sure wasnt bored
I just seen Larry have a rant with Floyd about the fight was'nt entertaining enough,i was enjoying it all the way thru,Floyd beat Baldomir 11 rounds out of 12,he hit him at will, the first 8 rounds where brutal the way Floyd was picking of Baldos head, what else do u want? Do they want someone dead on the floor? ...i think it could of got worse if he didnt hurt/break his hand
I think it was bad for Larry and co. to say a DLH fight might not appeal anymore...why not? Floyds the best P4P,he practicly beat a solid middleweight very easily, what more is der 2 prove? Cumon,be real HBO,Sky Sports were laughing at Larrys comment because it was foolish
I hope Baldo carrys on boxing though, hes still a top welterweightComment

I watched the whole card for free cause i wouldnt pay for that crap. The card pretty much ****** and i hope the ppv numbers bomb so they will stop putting junk like this on ppv.A guy like Floyd fighting a 9-1 underdog isnt even decent for free hbo world championship boxing.Comment

I think the question was extremely valid, because the fight was boring as hell. There were probably 2 really exciting moments, but thats not entirely Floyd's fault (I say this because I'm dissapointed in Baldy). Merchant needed to phrase his question a little more respectfully, but there was every right to ask, especially after the pre-fight show PBF put on.Comment
