      Maaan...The Keed is one of the greatest fighters ever, and maybe the toughest guy ever to enter the ring. His chin is right there with Robinson, LaMotta, Maxim...just an amazing fighter.

      If there were any fights I wish I could see they would be Robinson-Gavilan 1 and 2

      And Ez Charles-Charley Burley 1 and 2

        Kid Gavilan is often given credit for inventing this punch--a combination of a wide uppercut/right cross/swing that was delivered seemingly from the floor--by popularizing it in the late 1940s and 1950s.

        But during the 1930s Ceferino Garcia was effectively using what reporters and broadcasters then called the "bolo punch" -- based upon the bolo knife Filipinos used for chopping difficult vegetation.

        Filipino boxer Macario Flores is the earliest-known practitioner of the bolo punch. According to the March 27, 1924 Tacoma News Tribune (Tacoma, WA, USA): "Flores lets his right hand go just as his country men throw a bolo knife. The blow is not only hard, but it is as fast as a streak of lightning, being almost impossible to follow with the human eye."

          Why don't u guys admit that floyd is great, does it hurt to admit that he would have beaten many of the overrated "all time greats".

            U know some people should be blessed with some of the current fighters we have infront of us, rather than just looking at old timers and wishing they were in this era. Even if floyd fought 140 times in his career, is he really gonna lose to nobodies when he's in his ****in twenites? I dont think so, floyd is too smart, it pisses people off that he brags about his greatness, why shouldnt he?

              Floyd already lost to Jose Luis Castillo and Jesus Chavez was beating him before Chavez corner stopped the fight.

              Mayweather is great, but he like Roy picks his opponets carefully. He's already a millionaire, show the boxing world what you are made of and fight the tougher opponets. Don't just cherry pick. But he is fighting Delahoya so he gets some credit for that but if Delahoya didn't bring in the money, would Floyd still want to face Delahoya?

              Floyd like Roy get crap for their recent opponets. Or by the way they fight, if Floyd was so good why does he have to run away from Baldomier? Shouldn't he be able to throw more then one punch at a time. One punch at a time is a sign that a fighter is getting older. Floyd could have shut up a lot of mouths by fighting Margarito, and yeah Hatton didn't want the fight yet, but the Margarito fight he should have taken. Nobody could have said anything after that at least at welterweight.

                  Oh, there's no doubt at all in regards to Ceferino Garcia throwing the bolo punch before Gavilan, and it's not only The Ring that makes that claim, but you can also find that exact "bolo punch" description in a number of contemporary reports concerning Garcia;

                  "Ceferino doesn't need to land his bolo punch in the early rounds to make it stick." part of an article published in the Oct 27th, 1938 edition of the Evening State Journal

                  "Ceferino Garcia, Filipino welterweight, is also a good man in the ring: he has a paralyzing bolo punch, knocked out nine opponents this year." partial article from the Dec 5th, 1938 issue of TIME magazine

                  "Ceferino Garcia and his bolo punch, an extra special package of fistic dynamite, dethroned Fred Apostoli as middleweight champion tonight by flattening the former San Francisco bellhop in the seventh round of a battle before of a battle before a howling crowd in Madison Square Garden." Oct 2nd, 1939 AP report published in the Washington Post the next day (the heading reported that Garcia knocked Apostoli out with the bolo punch..."Bolo Punch Fells Champ In 7th Round")

                  etc, etc., etc.

                  And hey...here you can see Garcia throw it with your own eyes;

                  At the 2:20 mark of the video is where you'll first see it.

                    Floyd is a natural 130er and he is gonna become the 154 champ when he defeats a vastly overrated fighter. If you really want to say he lost to castillo, guess what. Leonard lost to hearns in the 2nd fight, he lost to hagler and he was getting his ass kicked by hearns the first time before the 13th round. Yeah it kinda makes his legacy look like crap doesnt it?

                      Most of what you said is true. The Hagler fight is based on opinion. That fight can go either way. And even Ray will tell you that Hearns should have won the second fight.

                      Margarito will haunt Floyd.
