According to the statistics website Boxrec.com, Jose Luis Castillo will be fighting Vivian Harris on the sixth of January, and Herman Ngoudjo a week later. Absolutely impossible. The Harris fight makes sense and I think that will happen, but of course, on the under-card of Ricky Hatton's next fight in Atlanta. But there's no logic whatsoever in Ngoudjo fighting Castillo anytime within the next decade. The Cameroonian, based in Montreal, struggled to beat Emanuel Augustus earlier this year; how on earth would he manage to be competitive with a killer like Castillo? What irks me is that people actually look at Boxrec as a source for confirmation of fights. This business is actually becoming more and more ignorant of itself by the week.
Boxrec Bull****.

They has Secew Powellas the best Jr Middleweight and Chad Dawson as the best LHW
They say they follow a point system, but how come every couple of weeks they change everything around completely whan there have been no fights to change it
eg - Shannon Briggs is 126 one day, then by doing nothing, he's sent to 16

they're just trying to keep up with the forever changing match making. seriously, the information they get is usually from someone invovled with the fighters and they let boxrec know, all they do is post it asap, then change it as it is forever changing with the match making.
you try and discredit boxrec but what about all the bouts that fall through, that isnt their fault after the post it up.
matches are always falling through, they're just trying to provide a serivce to the fans. you know it's got to be a pain in the ass for them to have to change something over and over again.
i'm sure it's going to change about six more times before anything actually happends.
i just think this whole thing is bull**** crybaby complaining........have a good day now, bye.Comment

Boxrec ratings are crooked, I got sick of them about 12 months ago and now I just use that website to research boxers records. Even in the scheduled fights they're constantly jumping the gun and adding fights to their calender that are only in the stage of being rumours. I've seen the Mayweather-Hatton fight listed on Hatton's profile on more than one occasion, it's asif they just go off gossip and take peoples word for it, before actually doing the research and seeing they've just entered some inaccurate crap into the data.
One thing I did never understand, how come John Duddy isn't listed as Irish, and also, if you go on the ratings for any weight division and switch it from World rankings to Irish, there's hardly any fighters listed because they have them all listed as British. I noticed alot of people complaining about that on the forums over there, and I guess they've got a very valid point.Comment

Yeah right. The point is that the tone of 2007 for Castillo especially is a fight on the Hatton under-card in January and then Hatton himself by June. What does Herman Ngoudjo have to do with it?they're just trying to keep up with the forever changing match making. seriously, the information they get is usually from someone invovled with the fighters and they let boxrec know, all they do is post it asap, then change it as it is forever changing with the match making.
