Danny has been told since he was eight years old that he's going to be heavyweight champion of the world, but could never cope with pressure. He's always been at his best when nothing was expected of him, like when he had half an hour to pack his bags and get to the airport to fly off to Russia at 17 as a late replacement - he stopped all of Russia's best young heavyweights! He had offers left, right and centre to turn pro after that..

This is an idea of how mentally weak Williams is - he froze against Julius Francis and lost the decision, and when Francis' arm was raised by the referee all of a sudden a big smile beamed across Danny's face for the first time in four years. It was too much pressure for him to hold an undefeated record - he couldn't cope!

Danny has come to the ring sometimes with tears flowing down his face and being non-responsive between rounds. I don't know what it is, just mentally weak I guess.

The loss to Samil Sam was a massive upset, and he got battered by Sam. Nobody expected him to lose, he was supposed to be the 'next big thing' (Don King and HBO were going to sign him), and that's why he folded. He admits to comfort eating before that fight because he couldn't cope with the pressure.

He was expected to be just fodder for Mike Tyson (who Freddie Roach said was in his best shape since the second Bruno fight), and look what happened. No pressure on him whatsoever.

Danny was able to put together solid combinations with speed from his earliest days boxing, on the pads his dad was holding up in the living room.

He had so much ****ing natural ability. It should be noted though that Danny never wanted to be a boxer at first.

I personally witnessed Danny BEAT UP Henry Akinwande in sparring, just before he went to the Commonwealth Games in '94.

He was always a world-beater in the gym, but could never transfer it in front of the camera's.

I love bagels especially a cinnamon raisin bagel with lots of cream cheese. At least twice a week for breakfast I eat three large bagels followed with a large glass of orange juice. How can anyone not like bagels?

He was 249 for that fight. Though soft around the midsection and obliques, he was in infinitely better shape than he is now in 2006. Just getting down to 250 would be a start, but 230 or so should be the long term goal I think.

You'd think when the only thing standing between you and the heavyweight title is 40 lbs, you'd sacrifice what it takes to obtain it.

I love the McMuffin sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese on top of an english muffin. I can eat three sandwiches at a time.
