In his prime, Gatti was like 135. Margarito can be a middleweight. Gatti gets demolished.

neither of them can box very well in my opinion, gatti has a bigger heart, and i could see that bein the deciding factor
I'm not Margarito fan, but even I can't argue that any version of Gatti would beat him...

Margarito brutalizes him. Bigger, stronger, better chin. Gatti has a puncher's chance of course but I see Margarito taking him out. Margarito by a stoppage in the 5th or 6th round when the ref puts a halt to the gorey beating.

Given Gatti's power at 147 vs. Margarito’s toughness, I doubt he has a punchers chance.

this thread is just ******. its like comparing mike tyson to bob foster. its preposterous.

there is no version of gatti that could even stand a chance against margarito. and this is coming from a huge gatti fan like myself.

gatti was HUUGGGEE is his weight classes below 147, he put on as much weight as almost anyone ever due to the day before weigh-ins. he's not as small as people claim. hell, he would weigh in unofficially for a junior welterweight fight on fight night more than many welterweights would.

that being said, margarito is still bigger than gatti, and he's got a good chin and workrate.

gatti gets stopped in the early to mid rounds by accumulated punishment.
