I don't think it would because after every upset involving a man moving up in weight, there will be bull****ters who claim they knew this would happen or make u[ excuses about the size differential to diminish the efforts of a prizefighter.
If Baldomir pulls it off...

It would not even make the top fifteen upsets of all time IMO. It'd be somewhere in the top 100 probably. Mayweather is a very good fighter but he's way above his natural weight and fighting a guy who's very strong and durable even for a welterweight. Baldomir has a much better chin than Gatti, I don't think Mayweather will hurt him much with his shots. I'm not so sure Mayweather can afford to take Baldomir's bodyshots. I think he'll slow down in the later rounds and fail to be effective. Baldomir will sweep these rounds and win the fight by a narrow decision.
The only result that will shock me is either man winning by KO.Comment

People feared Tyson, but Mayweather is more well regarded among purists and historians than was Tyson. Tyson was regarded as more hype than could be cleared away and objectionably reviewed. I don't like Mayweather, but he is a seriously great fighter, the best I've ever seen in my life.Comment
