Audley Harrison Working With Thell Torrence Again
London (November 1, 2006) – A-Force Promotions are delighted to announce that Audley “A-Force” Harrison (20-2, 15KOs) will be working with Thell Torrence for his upcoming Commonwealth Heavyweight title fight against Matt Skelton at the ExCel Centre, London on December 9th 2006.
Towards the middle of 2006, Harrison started to train with respected trainer Buddy McGirt at his gym in Vero Beach, Florida as Torrence had many commitments with Hasim Rahman and couldn’t dedicate his full time to Harrison’s camp. However, for a number of reasons, Torrence has been brought back on board by Harrison.
Harrison said: “I have had my best camps at Big Bear due to the altitude so to ensure that I am 100% conditioned for this fight, I will be training again in Big Bear. Unfortunately, Buddy has unmovable commitments to other fighters so could not be in Big Bear for the whole camp and has to stay in Vero Beach for what would have been a large part of my training camp”. Harrison continued: “Thell is available for the duration of my camp and as a result, he has come back on board. I am delighted that we have resolved our differences as Thell has developed me and knows my style better than anybody does. This fight is all about getting as many advantages as I can. Thell is a world class trainer and he knows that throughout my career my most professional and impressive training camps have been at Big Bear”.
Harrison has spoken at length to both Torrence and McGirt and following these talks, both had the similar opinions on how technically and tactically Harrison could defeat Skelton. This has made it possible for Harrison to work with Torrence again and as a result, Harrison expects his best camp to date and is looking forward to a tough fight on the 9th December.
