Juan Diaz, Collazo , Spinks all fighting.

I think I'll watch the Mayweather/Baldomir fight though. I want to see Floyd lose.
Nah, the Showtime card is trash. Collazo isn't gonna be on TV and he's fighting a nobody anyway. Juan Diaz is fighting another nobody, as usual. Lyahkovich-Briggs could be interesting, but chances are Briggs get schooled...

agreed that Baldomir is a much better underdog opponent for the money than Briggs is... i like both cards, i'll watch both

The showtime card that everyone will see on tv (unless there live) is only the Diaz fight then Lyakhovich-Briggs... would be awesome to go live though

Yet I'm looking at ESPN.com's boxing page and damned if 90% aren't tuning in for the sparring session on HBO instead of the all out war that can be expected on Showtime.

I know Mayweather is the greatest fighter in the world and there's nobody even close to him...all the more reason to watch a competitive slugfest. You can't tell me anybody out there when given a choice would choose to watch a sparring session over a knockdown dragout. I'm a bigger fan of Mayweather than Briggs, Liakhovich and every other Don King fighter on that card combined, but it comes down to what is entertaining and what is free (if you subscribe to Showtime of course). I'm simply baffled by this nonsense, but to each his own.
plan on spending AT LEAST $50 to watch Floyd fight until he retires.

A WELL SPENT $50 THAT IS.

If you like the kind of fights that Floyd has been in the last few years, keep buying the PPV's and expect more of the same.

I won't be buying this PPV, not because I'm not interested in the fight, just sick of enabling this garbage.

                      Your absolutely right Fuego!

But it is kind of a funny situation for myself, I have spent my life trying to persuade people to give boxing a chance and if they do watch the top fighters they will eventually get hooked on the sport-at least this has been my opinion.

My wife, her friends, there spouses, my family, my firends...have all been calling me saying "your getting the fight right" and I was telling them that I may hold off and just watch the HW scrap because it will product some real fireworks as opposed to watching Floyd win 11 out of 12 rounds against Baldy.

I have just received to many calls from my friends and family to not get the fight, we will of course be watching showtime as well but it is funny here I am a guy who just about always refuses to miss any fight no matter what but here was a case where I was prepared to pass on this PPV and the people around me just refused to let it happen.

                      Gotta love that huh!
