Maybe it's just me, but Briggs looks extremely heavy and slow.

Thanks for the post, K for that.

His pad work looked sharper than his heavy bag. His timing wasn't great on the pads but he was moving OK. He wasn't connecting particularly well with the heavy bag and it wasn't an intimidating display in my opinion.
He looks HUGE and weights-muscular. If Lyakovich is standing by the end of round one, Briggs is screwed I reckon.
Good luck to both fighters but I'm gonna root for Sergei as I usually back the man who I think both wants and deserves it more.

Is it me, or is he too upright? I mean, it doesnt seem like he uses his legs to punch at all, especially on the heavy bag. All his punches are arm punches. Maybe he was tired by the time that video was shot.

this has to be the firstday of his training for saturdays fight. Because that guy would get murdered by any respectable HW "given that there are any"
I'm not impressed. I work harder and better than that.

I don't think the hands down, shoulder rolling would work well for a fighter like Briggs, and he seems to be doing a lot of that in the video. Physically he doesn't look bad. I know on my comp there was a lot of lag so I can't make a fair handspeed assesment from that.

These videos show exactly why he is a four round fighter. He is way too bulked up to have any stamina. Liahkovich by tko round 6.
