    Is Pac A 3-Division Champion?

manny pacquiao has won the WBC flyweight title, and the IBF super bantamweight title. he had a draw with marquez for the WBA and IBF featherweight title but prior to that bout, he TKOd barerra for the RING magazine featherweight title.

should that mean that manny is a 3-division champion?

    im just making sure here.

No because the ring magazine title is not consider a real title you fight for.

to me there are "times" divsion champs and then there are times world champs

if your win one of the 5 titles WBA IBF WBO WBA RING then your a champ of that divison, but a multiple time world champ is where you are the man in that divsion then move up and become the man in another divsion

        example

Fighter wins IBF belt at feather
moves up and wins WBA super feather
then becomes the World lightweight champ betting the man there making him a 3 time divsion champ and a 1 time world champ in my book

exceptions apply though in cases like glen johnson/tarver where they were only fighting for the IBO belt i think and other weird cases as well

I do consider Pacquiao a three division champion, he was the top dog at 112, after Ayala left 122 he was the man, and then he blew out the kingpin in Barrera at 126. Pacquiao has conquered three divisions.

i think he is, and although its about belts, fighters can usually prove that you dont need belts to be recognized as a champion. pacman beat barrera at 126lbs in the featherweight division who was considered the best featherweight at 126lbs, he beat morales and naseem hamed at 126lbs who were also considered the best fighters in that weight class, morales was the 126lbs WBC champ when he lost to barrera but barrera refused to take the belt. so in other words barrera beat the best at 126lbs, didnt have a belt but pacquiao beat him, which means in my opinion he beat the champ at 126lbs (even though barrera didnt have a belt). and he has one titles as a flyweight and bantomweight.

he could even become a 4 weight champ if he beats barrera at 130lbs if/when they fight next year.

What happened to The Ring belts? I don't remember who was the last person that owned one besides maybe Manny and then Manny vacating it.

Pac only got two legitimate titles.
                  the others are special titles.
if he beats Barrera for the SF Championship he would get three.

He's the lineal champ @126 by knocking Barrera who prevously UD'd Hamed.

                    he's a 3 division champ.
