Mayweather, who holds the WBC 140-pound title, was charged with one count of battery constituting domestic violence and would have faced a minimum of one year in prison if convicted.

The case stemmed from an altercation between Mayweather and Josie Harris, the mother of three of his children. The two were sitting in Mayweather's black Bentley outside the SRO Club when Harris said in a police report the boxer kicked her, punched her and pulled her hair.

But Harris, 25, testified Thursday that she lied on the police report because she was angry Mayweather, 28, had left her for another woman. She described Mayweather as a "teddy bear inside" and said she knew "that no matter what I did, he would never put his hands on me."

When a fighter is in the media as frequently as Margarito with wild, vivid claims being attributed to himself without the benefit of substantial evidence to support the boasts and other things, he will be ridiculed and questioned as to his credability. Margarito is crude, lacks any kind of sharpness and finesse, it's easy to see that he falls short in many categories. Until he beats a decent fighter, he should expect to see and read things like these.

Just as you post your opposing views, other posters will come in with theirs, you cant expect to make a topic like this highlighting an obvious argument that has been going on for month about a fighter nobody..i mean..NOBODY was talking about on here a year ago on a daily basis, and you have the situation you have now.
