Margarito - The most hyped fighter?

I dont know what the hype is about, Margarito is beating bums and he is way over hyped than any other fighter here, santos beat him...Mayweather would break compubox numbers in landed shots against Margarito because lets not forget Mayweathers has good accuracy, defence and speed while Margarito has'nt got any defence, is very sloppy and slow, throws wide ass shots.

He only has a win against Cintron, but lets be honest Cintron had'nt done **** till now, ill give him props he won the IBF belt which does make Margarito look good (Unfortunately) but then Margarito goes to pick up "*******" Gomez, which was a step backwards. However he is facing Clottey now (He is a good boxer, he was better in his early days though).

Recently I seen a thread "Margarito vs Oscar De La Hoya - Who wins?" I mean its crazy to even make a thread like this, Margarito has'nt done **** while Oscar is Hall of famer a champion at 6 different weights, there is no comparison, Oscar is a good boxer too. Its just crazy when people make threads like these but then again everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Floyd turned the fight down with Margarito for a bigger pay date which he is getting against Baldomir, Baldomir has beaten better names than Margarito (Judah & Gatti).

Jermain Taylor has beaten Bernard Hopkins twice, and has skills, fought the P4P No 1 twice and beat him, then P4P No 2, and had a draw, offered him a rematch but Winky first said he dont want no rematch and later on priced himself out when he was getting the biggest pay day in his career, Taylor has beaten 4 former world champions so far and top contenders and will only get more better. so to answer your question jermain taylor is not hyped and is a deserving champion he had some close fights against world class fighters and his age and experience and he still beat them, but you would expect him to have close fights when he is fighting the best, instead of critising him.

ur only looking at black and white. his first decision over hopkins was bull****. the 2nd fight was close. and winky showed every crack in taylor's armor and actually won on many people's scorecards. hes as green as they come and hes at his best, which means he'll always be green. and right after the fight between hopkins and taylor, what do they do? taylor gets a close draw and hopkins goes on to win the LHW championship in dominating fashion. taylor hasnt dominated a damn thing in his career.

taylor is an HBO product with his biggest wins as gifts from HBO. hes all hype. if you watch his fights, which i doubt you have, you'll see that hes not nearly as good as people and HBO hype him up to be.

Parody, the fact that you are still creating topics when all the topics you brought up in your argument have been discussed over and over and over and over and over again just leads me to wonder how much time you really have on your hands.

The first fight was won by Taylor, Hopkins did'nt do **** until the last 6 rounds, he came to fight but he started very slow, which was his own fault, reminds me off the classic larry merchant quote "Well, this is the Marquis of Queensberry rules. If you lose 8 out of the first 9 rounds, I'm not saying you did, but you hurt him in the last 3 and don't knock him out or knock him down, you lose".

I have seen 15 fights of Jermain Taylor and I predicted he would beat Hopkins in the first fight which he did, and again in the second, just because Hopkins feels he got robbed does'nt mean he actually did, that was his own opinion, 5 out of 6 judges scored both the fights for Taylor, Taylor won the second fight clearly, the first was was closer but Taylor won it 115-113 because Hopkins started slow, even if you think Hopkins won which rounds did you give him? Surely you would have scored it 8 rounds to 4 to claim it was a robbery or a "gift" because if u scored it 115-113 for Hopkins, it means you know it was a close fight that could have gone either way, anyway which rounds you scored for B-Hop? Taylor would dominate the division for a long time now, and i disagree with you, taylor is green with now with steward and his team, he will only get better and learn from his mistakes, he made a lot of mistakes in the winky fight, and offered winky a rematch, the reason winky did'nt take it he knew taylor would only get better.

Dude these are boxing forums, everyone is here to discuss, I have made posts but this is thread which gives the keypoints of why Margarito is hyped, i know hes your favourite fighter but everyone has a right to debate here, people were bashing floyd for not fighting Marg, well he's fighting a tougher guy who weights around 180 outside the ring, who has beaten judah and gatti (2 wins that make him look better than ALL the wins Margarito has had in his career) and floyd is getting a bigger pay fighting him.

Everyone has a right to discuss but there comes a time when its been talked about too much. I dont even click on these topics anymore cuz its just the same people saying the same **** over and over again....

He's one of my favorite fighters and I dont care if people have their own opinion but when these forums are clutters with margarito/mayweather threads it makes me not even want to come back for a day or two.

But if you dont like these topics why do you post in them? its easy to ignore it if you dont want to participate, for e.g if you would have got sick of it you would'nt have posted in this topic
