baldomir: toughest challenge of mayweathers career?

baldomir is the biggest toughest fighter mayweathwer has ever faced..baldomir said himself he walks around at 180+..he has a granite chin...and eventhough i had judah beating baldomir 7-5..and judah is the better fighter..sence mayweather has moved to 147 he has slowed down enough too now blow baldomir out and may be in for a fight with the bigger stronger man

IMO, Jose Luis Castillo was a tougher challenge for Floyd than Baldomir, Mosely or DLH is going to be.

If people are saying that Baldomire is the toughest challange then they must be talking about prefight and if thats the case then it was definatly Chico. Chico was picked by more people to beat Floyd then anyone else he's ever faced.

I still say that people make too much out of the Castillo fight because Floyd wasnt a offensive fighter then and has been totally different since the N'Dou fight. I still say that the Floyd after the N'Dou fight wouldve never had any problems with Castillo. He just wasnt a offensive fighter then and had some bad spots in all the fights leading up to Castillo because he wouldnt stay offensive and would stay on his bike alot.

I also think people are definatly wrong about Floyd at 147. They have to look at the fact that Floyd has faced 2 lefties and he has used a walk down style which is to fight slower and slowly stalk your opponent. I bet anything that against Baldy he will look 10x faster because he will fight at a faster pace then his 2 previous fights. I also bet anything that Floyd will have much more power then people think because of 2 things. 1 is he will be more comfortable at the weight now and 2 is that Baldy is a righty. He couldnt load up on his punches against Zab & Mitchell but he will load up on a ton of punches against Baldy

Floyd hasn't really showed how quick he can be at 147. His only 2 fights he didn't use a ton of energy and he broke down Judah and Mitchell mainly to the body. I think Floyd can handle Baldomir though. He's sparred bigger men for a long time now. I know he sparred super middleweights for this fight. I still wouldn't go toe to toe with Carlos though. If Floyd fights his fight he should win. No Roger Mayweather is a disadvantage though IMO.

Good post. He may have lost a tad bit of handspeed, but he's still fast.

Baldomir doesn't have the handspeed and footwork to give Mayweather problems. The comparison to JLC are waaay off. This is going to look like the Corrales fight other then the fact Baldomir won't get knocked down.
