What do you think of Dimitrenko?

This is another product of Eustern European boxing school, he is 23-0 with only 14 KOs but he is 6'7", 250 lb man, which means that he can either box pretty good or that he is a light puncher. He is only 24 and is ranked #6 by WBO and #13 by WBC. I've never seen him fight but seen his pictures and let me tell you, he doesn't go by "baby face" for nothing. Who has seen him fight and what do you think of him?

      From *********:

      Sasha punishes Devil!

      October 29, 2006

Not even the devil could stop Alexander Dimitrenko on his way to a world title fight. The Argentinean Gonzalo Omar Basile, known in his country as the “Devil at Heavyweight,” was destroyed in the first round in front of 3,500 spectators on Saturday night at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart.

The Ukranian, who lives in Hamburg, remains unbeaten with a perfect record: 23 wins in 23 fights with 14 KO’s. He defended his WBO Intercontinental title for the third time and 2007 should be the year he takes aims at a world title.

In Stuttgart, the 24-year-old clearly demonstrated that he is ready for a shot at one of the heavyweight championship belts. Although he faced a man with 25 wins in 26 fights and nearly as tall as he is, the huge gap between the two became quickly apparent in terms of technique and boxing skill. The former junior world champion Dimitrenko landed a number of hard punches within the first seconds of the fight, especially his quick left jab, and punished his heavily tattooed opponent with powerful combinations. After 54 seconds in the first round it was already over. The towel was thrown in by Basile’s corner. A very impressive knockout win.

although i think that this guy has a lot of potential this article is unbelievably biased and not very professional in its quality...

it makes basille out as if he was something more than a jounryman when in reality he had fought a long line of bums never outside of argentina... it makes no mention that the opponents effort was so pitiful that the crowd booed loudly.

it state also that he proved that he is worthy of a mojr title shot, which i think is also a huge reach, he might want to try fighting someone halfway decent before making that jump... and should recall a 24 yeard old wladamir klitschko being knocked out by ross purrity..

he has clear potential, but this article sounded like something written on a fan club forum...

I got it off *********.com but you're right, Basile didn't do a damn thing in the fight except a few jabs. Still, I think Dimitrenko shows some potential.
