    3 Mayweather Stories!

Here's another story of Floyd being a jerk, for the haters. This one is of Michael Clark who was on this seasons "Contender" but the story is from 04:

Although unifying the lightweight title is his ultimate goal, Clark’s dream match is a reenactment of the annual Ohio State-Michigan football game, “Cold Blood” versus “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather (Grand Rapids, MI).

“I’ve known Mayweather since we were amateurs,” Clark concluded. “Boy, I’d love to get him in the ring. We were at a lot of the same tournaments and worked out together. All of a sudden, Floyd thinks he’s invincible or something, and he doesn’t know me anymore. One night he ‘dissed’ me at a party I was trying to get into. This is the same kid I’ve known since we were kids, somebody who learned moves off me. Now I have nothing but dislike for Floyd Mayweather.”
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a story of Floyd being ****y in the gym recently:

Self-proclaimed ''legend'' Floyd Mayweather Jr. stopped at the Goossen gym in Van Nuys, California, for a media workout to help promote his challenge of WBC welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir next Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

After a rather lengthy wait for the demonstration, Mayweather, in excellent shape as always, went to work, showing his accuracy and stamina by going on through the motions for nearly half and hour, tapping with probing shots at his padded helper, going to the body with straight rights and ripping hard left hooks in spurts, wowing many of the media at hand.

''You can now say you touched a legend'' joked Mayweather to a little kid whom he bumped into accidentally while near the ropes.

Another one of his team shouted, ''You guys will never see another champion like this,'' with Mayweather, quick on the verbal trigger, responding, ''Never another champion like me? I have two sons,'' which prompted a chuckle from everyone at ringside.
    --------------------------------------------------------

and here's a story saying that not only will Baldy kick Floyd's ass but he will Knock him Out!

22.10.06 - By Kirk Allen: Let me just start off by saying that, like many people, I used to be disgusted by the fact that Floyd Mayweather Jr., 29, wasn't fighting better opponents, ones like Kostya Tszyu, Manny Paccquiao, Ricky Hatton or Antonio Margarito. After 10 years, I figured Mayweather should have fought a career-defining fight by now, shouldn't he? Well, I'm no longer bothered by any of that anymore, not since he selected Carlos Baldomir (43-9-6, 13 KO's) as his next opponent. Finally, Mayweather has stepped up to fight someone truly worthy, a fighter in my estimation that can beat Mayweather, quite eaily in fact.

For most people, however, they see Baldomir and assume that just because he's somewhat slow and old (35), that he's going to get easily beaten by Mayweather. What they don't see, however, is that Baldomir is much tougher than anyone Mayweather has fought previously.

Quite frankly, Baldomir is the best fighter that Mayweather has ever faced before in his career. Though, he may not be as fast or as slick as some of the smaller opponents Mayweather has faced, like Zab Judah, Baldomir simply knows how to use his size and toughness to win fights.

If one were to measure Baldomir and compare his overall toughness with Mayweather's previous bests opponents, such as Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Angel Manfredy, Jose Luis Castillo, Arturo Gatti or DeMarcus Corley, it's clear to me that Baldomir is in a level above them. He’s already proven it, easily beating both Arturo Gatti and Zab Judah in 2006. In fact, Baldomir made it look easy, much easier than Mayweather did. Baldomir has the size and the pressure to make Mayweahter miserable, just like Jose Luis Castillo did in their two fights together.

Bear in mind, many people, me included, think that Castillo beat Mayweather in their first fight, but came out on the losing end of a very controversial decision. However, even in losing, Castillo set the blue print on how to beat Mayweather. That is, by applying steady pressure and forcing Mayweather to fight off the ropes. If it weren’t for those two fights, I probably wouldn’t give Baldomir even the slightest chance at beating Mayweather, but the fact of the matter is, he’s going to be in for a big surprise against Baldomir.

Having said all that, some of the fault lies with Mayweather, by which he as avoided fighting the absolute best opponents. Instead taking on the best in each weight class, Mayweather often decided to move up in weight rather than testing himself. Thus, by not fighting the absolute best, he’s stunted his own ability to learn and progress as a boxer. For a fighter like him, one that relies on speed and craftiness, he’s got to constantly keep learning, otherwise the more powerful fighters start to catch up to him. In this case, Baldomir would fit that category. However, it’s more than that, I’m afraid. You see, even if Mayweather had been fighting the best opposition all these years, he’d still have major problems against Baldomir, largely because of the Argentinean’s size advantage and overall toughness.

Just looking at the two of them side by side, you can immediately see that Baldomir has much longer arms and torso, something that is very important in helping him dominate his opponents. For Mayweather to be able to beat Baldomir, he will have to get within boxing range and each time he does, the longer armed Baldomir will make him pay. You see, it will be hard, if not impossible, for Mayweather to do the cleaver boxing moves that he’s done in the past against smaller, thinner fighters like Corrales.

No, I expect Baldimir will win convincingly, most likely by knockout. All Baldimir has to do is what he always has done, that is, apply a lot of pressure and make Mayweather crumble like a rag doll.

The 2nd story got me to thinking about Floyd's kids. He made it sound like he's teaching them alot. I was thinking, how great could they be if he's teaching them from a very young age and they already have great genes?

Its just the same as him. He has the genes and has been boxing his entire life. I would love to see another generation of Mayweathers. Especially since I'm a big amateur fan. I hope the young Mayweathers fight in Michigan like Floyd did.

To be honest, I really don't care what type a person a fighter is outside the ring. I'm a fan of Mayweather because what he does inside the ring. I guess, it would be a bonus if the guy was cool outside the ring....But I don't care, I don't chill with him haha

when i was 17 i went on a date with a girl at the movies, it was a blind date with a girl i didint think looked very hot. i ended up leaving her at the theater after she payed for my ticket, a real ******* move on my part, worse i went to some other girls house who i knew wanted to kick it.

But in return, years later, i would be stood up/flaked on etc etc, and i deserved it cuz i was a jerk to that girl, and to this day i still feel bad about it, i was a arrogant prick in my teens.

Theres my story, feel free to use it against me if i become famous.

He just ruined his whole story right there, I smell bull****...I doubt Floyd, having Floyd Sr. and Roger Mayweather as trainers, that little Floyd is going to need anyone else.
