Regardless of how bad his title run went, not too many average joes can say they held a piece of the Heavyweight championship of the world.

I remember watching him come up and win the Canadian HW championship. Back then he was very strong, very tough, with enough power in both hands to hurt you. I was a big fan until he ran into his personal problems. I honestly believe boxing caused at least some of his troubles - i.e. personality changes caused by repeated head trauma, a la Ike Ibeabuchi. Not that he was ever all there, but towards the end he was pretty much psychotic. Nonetheless, it's a sad end to what was once a promising life. RIP Trevor.
