This guy is one of my favorite action fighters. Although he'll probably never rise to top contender status, this former Mexican Olympian makes for alot of fun to watch. I first saw him against Fulgencia Zuniga on Boxeo De Oro in a wildly entertaining brawl, and he only managed a draw despite dropping homeboy with a straight left hand when he switched to southpaw. Then he beat the living **** out of Carlos Bojourquez, sealing the deal on his future health issues. He lost to Zuniga in the rematch, but he only has two losses. What do you think of him?

Zurtuche is a tough fighter. I haven't seen him in awhile. Im still pissed at him for defeating Jesus "El Martillo" Gonzalez, later down the line possably next year i want to see them rematch this time Gonzalez winning.Comment

i saw him a couple of times against bojorquez and zunija on verses network. I thought he look okay but still needs more experience. He would get killed by today's top middleweights.Comment

Im seeing him fight, he could give people trouble. He doesn't have a real heavy punch but he's got some skills and can take a good punch. I think him against anybody would be an interesting fight just for the fact that he'd fight back even if he was loseing.Comment

El Elotero is an awesome guy. I wish him the best, after he beat (I believe) Gonzalez he thanked Erik Morales for the help, and went on plug in his elotes stand in the plaza. Talk about a hard worker that deserves to reach the heights. I dont know if he will but I thought that was awesome.Comment

I've seen him fight twice this year on OLN fight night. He's got good power and his punches remind me of a young Mike Tyson. If he improves his style and defense I could see him break into the top twenty.Comment

Zertuche is alot of fun to watch as was unforatunate not to get the nod not in one of his matches with Bjorquez but both of them.
So as far as entertainment value goes, sure JL is one to watch especially if he is matched against the right opposition but if you are looking for a future world champion he is not your guy.Comment
