since we're all talking about weight classes....

yall need to take a look at Guillermo Jones of Panama. in his amatuer career which i remember showtime saying he was 135. he won a 4 international titles in the Central American Amateur Boxing Tournament.

Jones began his professional career in fantastic fashion. Fighting as a welterweight, he knocked out fellow Panamanian Gabriel Camarena in the first round on July 17, 1993, in Panama.

In his seventh fight, Jones captured his first title by winning the FECARBOX 147-pound championship with a first-round knockout of Jaime Mayorga of Nicaragua.

The knockout victory over Mayorga represented the second in a two-year, 13-fight KO streak (June 1994 - June 1996) for Jones.

in his last 3 fights he KO'd both Wayne Braithewaite and Kelvin Davis both in the 4th round and lost a SD to Steve Cunningham. The call him the elastic man for how well he carries his weight.

yeah he's traveled a lot in weight. he seems to be fighting pretty well despite the continuous weight gain. i liked watching the braithwaite fight, it was entertaining watching him land his left hand at will.

i thought i remember he had his ring name as " The incredible expanding man " now i see that it's " El Felino ".
          hhmm?????

Just one more nail in the coffin of the "weight advantage" myth.
