Sometimes it's fun to look back at these old threads.
Duffgun, RAESAAD and Gunstar actually believed Brock would defeat Wlad!

He almost did, the fight was practically even before Klitschko landed the big right hand.
And it WASNT because Klitschko was having a bad night either, because he's proved that theory wrong pretty recently...Comment

No, Wlad was dominating in the round before he KOed him.
The first four rounds were even - just like the first round of Wlad's fights with Sultan and Austin - because Wlad likes to feel out an opponent before he attacks.Comment

I think the Brock outing has become synonymous with a bad, boring fight for Klitschko. Do you guys remember when, during the Ibragimov fight, Emmanuel started to get annoyed and told Klitschko, "Come on, Wlad...this is starting to look like the Brock fight here.." Or in other words that Klitschko wasn't mounting as aggressive an offense against a fighter who wasn't doing anything as people would like. I mean, Calvin got laid out so people forget that- up until that point- Klitschko looked like he wasn't coming on as hard as he could. It's fights like the Brock fight that make detractors fear he's a caution first heavy that doesn't have faith in his own stamina or chin...and will tend to play it safe too much. A KO saved him from catching criticism over the Brock fight...but the same style is what bite him in the ass against Ibragimov.Comment

Are you kidding me??.....Wlad dominated Brock for the most part and knocked his ass out....Brock won 2 close rounds on the scorecard, Wlad was just in the feeling out process in those early rounds adjusting to Brock's awkward defensive minded style...Wlad figured him out, took over the fight and knocked him out...That was one of my favourite KO's...That right hand from Wlad was a thing of beauty.Last edited by WLAD OWNS; 03-18-2008, 07:25 PM.Comment

I agree that Klitschko was in control and took almost every round. I'd debate that the fight was exciting though. It was the type of performance that Klitschko haters thrive one. Wlad did enough to win each round but played it safe- very safe- until he closed the show. It wasn't the most aggressive performance and I think we can agree if he'd turned it on a few rounds earlier he could have had that same spectacular KO in an earlier round. Are you kidding me??.....Wlad dominated Brock for the most part and knocked his ass out....Brock won 2 close rounds on the scorecard, Wlad was just in the feeling out process in those early rounds adjusting to Brock's awkward defensive minded style...Wlad figured him out, took over the fight and knocked him out...That was one of my favourite KO's...That right hand from Wlad was a thing of beauty.Comment
