A few years ago during a sparring session, Mark "Poison" Suarez (25-2, 13KOs) was sparring with the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. The unexpected happened, as Suarez landed a hard shot that sent Mayweather down. At that moment, observers knew the unheralded fighter could punch. [details]

If chin and stamina are going to be a deciding factor in this fight, well...Cintron has been training very hard for the last couple of weeks with his trainer Manny Steward in the Poconos. Steward is also currently training IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko there as well, and you can almost be sure that Klitschko is giving the younger and less experienced Cintron some advice for victory -
Kermit boxed a lot better against Estrada than he did against Margo. I think Emmanuel might take him the next level, never seen Suarez fight tho, no one has his fights, that must be for a reason. However, after watching his fight with Estrada he showed heart and worked through being hurt, but there's something about his chin that doesn't convince me. We'll see how he does.

If this happened a few years ago, Floyd would of been at 135, sparring against a huge Welterweight, no wonder he went down from a punch.
Also, remember kids: It's just that, sparring.Comment

exactly. I like both guys but Cintron has that power too. Cintron's chin IMO is suspect though, he also gets hit rather easily being so damn tall and fighting like a tall man.Comment

oh Lord...another guy to build up based on hype for haters to say Floyd is ducking....blah...
first it is Margarito for beating up a green Kermit, Paul Williams for being 6'1, now a story of a guy knocking Floyd down in "sparring"...now all of a sudden he will be considered "dangerous"Comment
