Many "A" fighters in his weight class realize he is a dangerous fight to take...Rivera is a work horse. He has very good power, great defense, he is in great shape and he goes to the body as well as the best...the rest of the best in his weightclass need to stop being ******* and fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! Ask Iceman...nobody wants a piece of him becuase they will be in for a real deal fight........he has a hellofa coach in Iceman and he has a champion cutman...Dave Tenny....

Rivera is a serious threat at 154, to be honest I'd favor him over everyone at 154 except for Oscar and Shane. With his controlled aggressive style, I'd say he'd outwork Spinks. Rivera is a consistent fighter, he works all 3 minutes of the round. His athleticism isn't up there with Roy Jones, but he makes the most of what he has.

Scully has done a really good job with smoothing out some of the rough outer edges of Rivera. Rivera's defense is more solid, he brings his hands back better, and his combos flow more fluidly. I was surprised in the Garcia fight how technically sound he was.

He's gonna have a tough fight with Travis Simms, who is a southpaw with some nice moves. Simms wants to be a star, then he better come to fight cuz Rivera is no joke. I suspect that Rivera will be able to penetrate his comfort zone and wear him down en route to a decision win.

Rivera is definitely a badass. No one wants to risk fighting him because of that. He definitely has a good chance of beating everyone at 154 because of his workrate & consistency as Sensation said. That's exactly why Margarito won't go to 154 & fight him too.

he should fite cory spinks for a unification title. not only would this generate high fan base, but it'll let the boxing world know where each fighter stands as far as real skill is concerned.

Margarito don't want that fight, Rivera will be in his chest where Margarito can't get off. Margarito needs a guy to move away from him to give him room to extend those long arms, Rivera will **** his ribs all night.

I'd susgest to Rivera to box Margarito the way he did Garcia. In the first round they were talking about how Rivera needed to crowd Gracia, than in the 12th they were talking about how he should stay on the outside, this is a great style for him and he should use it for come foward fighters.

Rivera at 154 is an avoided fighter, same way Daniel Santos was in his peak. I would vacate that title and go for Cory's or for Sergei's if they keep making up excuses.
