Thats what I would expect to hear from a Floyd nuthugger. Floyd has alway said if it makes money it makes sense, and thathe would fight anyone. Well the money was there. The reason Floyd doesn't want to have anything to do with it or not, is because he knows that is a dangerous fight for him. Had Baldy not beaten Gatti, Floyd probably would have not fought for the rest of the year and than he really would have had heat on him for not fighting Marg.,it just kinda all worked out for him when Baldy won. It gave him the excuuse to say that now he is fighting the real champ and took a little pressure off for not excepting the fight. There would have been no point on him fighting Gatti again, and more than likely he would have taken the rest if the year off. The baldy fight kinda fell in his lap because he had already decided to not fight Marg, it wasn't like he was waiting for Baldy. It doesn't really matter because the fight with Tony will never happen. If Floyd gets by Baldy, the only fights he is interested in is Shane and Oscar next year.

What HOF fighters is on that list? Hell, what elite fighters is on that list? Floyd wants to fight Delahoya who has fought: Genaro hernandez, JCC, Pernell Whitaker, Miguel Gonazalez, Hector Camacho, trinidad, Mosley, Hopkins.

Floyd wants to fight Mosley who has fought: delahoya, wright, Vargas, Forrest, jesse james

Floyd wants to fight Hatton who has fought Collazo, Kostya, ray oliveria, and thats about it and Maussa.

Floyd wants to fight Cotto who has fought Branco, torres, Ndou, maussa, chop chop. All these guys resume is better than margarito. And I didn't even mention Spinks or Wright.

U act as if the fight he is fighting now doesn't make dollars and sense and adds to his legacy, it's a better fight for him. There is nothign wrong with waiting to see who is the best option for yourself. That is what he did, he waited till after the gatti fight to decide who he would fight. If gatti had won, he would have fought Spinks and becoame a 5 time champ in 5 different weight classes and allowed for margarito to figth gatti or hatton for that belt and then challenged the winner of the bout. margo needs to figth somebody damn it. he aint intriguing and he just doesn't contribute nothing to the p4p best fighter. There is just too many options out there that are better.

Why should PBF fight Margo when there are so many other BETTER fights out there? He has MOSLEY, DE LA HOYA, HATTON, COTTO, SPINKS, and WRIGHT to choose from so there is NO REASON to fight Margarito.

PBF is in a lose-lose situation with Margarito. If he pulls out the 1000-1 shot of beating PBF, he loses his status and if he beats Margo everyone will say, "Ah, Margo was a nobody anyway; Floyd did what he was expected to do."

I don't blame Floyd for not taking the Margarito fight at all. I would've tried the same thing Floyd tried: to make a fight with Mosley, DLH, or Spinks before SETTLING on Margarito. And, as Floyd did, I, too, would've rather fought Baldomir than Margo.

Also, what's Margarito doing now? He's basically ducking Floyd by not fighting his mandatory. Now, if he beats Clottey (and that's not a given) he needs to fight Williams as his mandatory. That means he can't fight Floyd for a while. Who's ducking whom now?

Hell go down in history as ducking margarito? Doubtful. Margarito was nobody til arum pulled his little ploy. He knew Floyd was looking at other options and really just wanted to make a name for margarito who was a nobody. The "world" knew he was a welterweight to watch in 2002 eh? Then how come nobody ever wanted to watch him? If you take a fight with the undisputed WW you arent ducking some alphabet champ. If he fight the 4 listed above hell be remembered as a great fighter.

Why doesn't Margarito offer that 8 million to Shane Mosley? Why didn't he make an offer to fight Baldomir? Why didn't he challenge Luis Collazo, Carlos Quintana, or Paul Williams? Why did he stay quiet when Kassim Ouma, Jose Antonio Rivera, Ishe Smith, and Ronald "Winky" Wright called him out? Why is he fighting on the same card as Cotto, but not fighting Cotto himself? With so many top opponents out there for him to face, why is he fighting unheralded Josh Clottey? No one was asking for this fight.

If Margarito is as great as his fans think he is, why does he only challenge one fighter who started his career four divisions lower and is much smaller than him? Why doesn't he offer some of Arum's money to someone else? Margarito is a joke and a fraud....
