Aside from that I think he has promise, but hasn't lived up to it yet.
Do you realize Taylor hasn't even been a pro for 6 years and he's already beat Bernard Hopkins (best fighter on the planet at the time) TWICE and arguably beat Winky Wright (2nd best fighter in the world right now)???? TAYLOR IS STILL GREEN AND HE IS HOLDING HIS OWN AGAINST THE BEST IN THE ****ING WORLD

He has a chance at being one of the best. The talent is there. And so is the heart. Taylor has shown no fear, of any fighter.

end of thread, though I do believe he got gift decisions against hopkins in the first fight, and against winky.

it doesnt matter that he got a gift. the fact that at such a young age, he was able to rock, and arguably beat one of the greatest fighters since sugar ray leonard TWICE, is enough.

THEN He fought winky wright RIGHT afterward.

And now, when critics, writers, and fans, think that taylor deserves an easy fight, he takes kassim ouma, one of the next best option to Winky Wright.

I dont see how u could NOT like this guy. He respects the sport, his fans, himself, and most of all, he respects his legacy. This guy wants money, sure, but he seems to care more about getting the big fight then he does about getting more money from it!

He doesn't want the rematch with Jermain. Jermain's only flaw in that fight is that he thought he can counter Winky from the ropes, where he thought Winky would unload alot (so that tight defense opens up) since he was being cornered. If Jermain don't go to the ropes in a rematch, Winky loses pretty easy.

Jermain was hurt from intentional headutts, which I'm afraid to say pathetic in Hopkins' part
Jermaine stood there with his hands dropped and took an ass whoopin' that night. He held on for dear life when he was hurt in the late rounds but stayed on his feet to get his gift decision.

Winky isn't afraid of Taylor. To say that is ridiculous. He's pissed the **** off, just like Hopkins was after being bent over. Everybody knows the deal with JT and the HBO hype machine. It's a full on circus everytime he fights. "JT's spit cures cancer" - Jim Lampe.

1st off, you have a Bernard Hopkins avatar.

Hopkins was pissed when he lost the 1st fight, but he wanted the rematch. Winky Wright does not, because he probably knows, Taylor can adjust an dthat he wants easier fight.

winky in no way shape or form cowarded taylor, he was pissed becuase he was saying the whole time he was worried about the judges way before the fight and it only being 150 miles from taylor actual house he new he had to dominate and believed as i believed he cleary won the fight. i dont reall ike winky or his style , and i like taylor as an athlete but that leaning foward style type fighter dont last long he is very akward and breaks all the rules but he such an ahlete he gets away with it. against hopins in the first fight ,turn lampley the hell of and its easy to see jermain dont land **** lampley swayedthe judges bigtime in that fight with his loud mouth and it was wron of him to robb a 40 year old man whos worked for everything hes ever had. hopkins dominated that fight , taylor landed 1 hook the whole damn fight... im not sure if taylor will ever be one of the greats becuase he is so damn sloppy when he looses his muscular speed he will get destroyed like roy jones but even jones is much more techincal then jermain. he uses his muscles to throw punches more then his reflexes. he even had a rough time a kronk when he came up there from that irish kid lee who only had 3 ifghts at the time. and hearns said he would of killed him ....he has a lot to work on.... id really like to see him fight calzaghe .. also i guess thats why hes fight all the best comp now becuase of the reason i stated above. becuase at this rate he wont last he can even throw a proper hook , but he is super fast for now .

I will put a Taylor picture in my avatar and tell you the same thing. So I don't think that really matters. You guys are trying to crown him before he's proved himself. Most of the punches toward Winky hit his arms, a few slipped in.

i just dont know how u can win a fight against the ropes eating jabs and straights all night. lefthook is right. only a few punches slipped in. if u disagree winky's face was also a little swollen after the trinidad fight and we all know how that fight went.

                    Edit:
Not saying I dont like the guy. He should be one of most respected in the sport right now for these fights hes taking but he didnt win the winky fight IMHO.

He sure turned Winky Wright into a *****. Pansy didn't even want a rematch, lol. Anybody that turns down a rematch after pretending to get ripped off knows in their heart that he did not win. Wright doesn't believe he beat Taylor or that he can. Otherwise, they'd be fighting in December.
