So I'm a pinoy citizen coz i was born in Las Islas Filipinas....

But my race is mixed.. my father is half spanish/vietnamese my mother is 1/4 spanish...

so I think I belong to Mestizo Espanyol Race

we have a lot of dialects but the national language is filipino. but its just an improved tagalog is spoken by people in the mainland. we have some area in the mindano island that speak chabacano that's spanish

Who cares really... You can't trace your roots back to what you really are because history doesn't go that far. So accept that we are all **** sapiens and move on.

For the last ****ing time, American is not a race. "America" is not even country. Its called The United States.

What America forgot to do was name it country. Explain how its not a country.

The word "Chicano" was made up by California Mexicans to separate themselves from Mexicans and other Latino ethic groups. A lot of Cali Mex's were already in California when it became a state. A lot like Texas (Tejanos as they like to be called).

It wasn't to seperate themselves from Mexicans but more so from discrimination, and against segregation and equal education and some other stuff. I don't know too much about this. But your story has holes in it as mine does. Tommorrow i start reading the book "Chicano."

I heard similar to that. But i belive his-panic was to group all spanish speaks together to make them into one group, so instead of marketing to different groups they market to one, and some other **** too.

Also Mexicans had to fight in the courts to not be considered white. Because we were getting screwed by the system, i think it was from what i remember reading, is that say a Mexican man gets tried in a court, he could be iniccent but the jury is made up of all whites, because after all, Mexican are considered white so no need to have Mexicans as jurys. Somthing along those lines, i think i still have a paragraph that talks about a certain case that made the courts/laws change their point of view and say Mexicans are non-white.

LOL we could be, Latinos are a huge mix and....

There is a theory in fact that the Chinese were the first to come to the American continent, and that is why native americans all over the continent have and had asian attributes.

But yeah latinos are a huge mix of people from all over the world like native american, spanish, irish, african, Asian, German, Russian, and who knows what else.

Talk about the real melting pot of races and cultures, latin america is it.
