Emanuel landed a lot of shots and made every second of the fight difficult.
And as usual, it was less than two weeks notice that Augutus had to prep for the fight.Comment

Yeah I read that last year sometime..........Against Emanuel Augustus (formerly Emanuel Burton). Where are all those idiots who doubted me when I posted it before at now? They all said I was crazy but here it is, in black and white, from the horse's mouth:

Nope. The rounds were NOT CLOSE. For every two punches Burton landed he got hit with like 12. I never saw Floyd land so many flush shots on anyone before. I thinking maybe Floyd was saying it was his toughest fight because he had to throw so many punches to keep Burton off of him and he just kept charging foward. I dont this fight is the most Floyd has ever been hit. He had a busted nose, which could've came from 1 hard punch. The Chavez fight was tougher than this one. But, Floyd still contends that Burton was the toughest opponent. I'll watch the fight again anyway.Comment

Floyd bent Augustus over and pounded the living **** out of him.
But a) Floyd broke his right hand in that fight, and had to fight the later rounsd with nothing but a jab and a left hook.
b) Floyd traded with Augustus like it was an all out war, and got nailed in the nose, which caused it to bleed perfusely.
c) Floyd got hit more in that fight (because of the previous two reasons) more than he has in any other single fight.Comment
