Manny Steward was a big Hatton fan because Tommy Hearns trained at Hatton's gym in '99, and Hatton trained at Kronk in '00.

Leonard was a big Hatton fan because Vince Phillips (the fighter Leonard managed) fought Hatton and Leonard watched it in the States on Showtime because he couldn't make it over and became an instant Hatton fan calling him "perpetual motion", and Ray watched Ricky's quality shows against Ben Tackie and Sugar Ray Oliveira and so on and tipped him to beat Tszyu.

That performance against Lacy was arguably the most impressive masterclass ever witnessed, and against a guy who was suppose to be invincible and the 'saviour of boxing' etc.

To win every minute of every round against the next big thing and 'a 168lb version of a cross between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield at their best'.. on that form he beats anybody, no question.

Lacy was overrated and hyped. Yeah he was damn good but not like people were saying. I picked Calzaghe to win that fight by UD, I'm not too sure why most others didn't think so.

Hopkins is coming off one of his best performances, and it's not like Calzaghe isn't an old man too.. he's 35.

                  Are you ****ing serious?

How can you compare Tyson and Holyfield to Lacy?

Maybe chin (168), heart (which is only comparing one tough fight), and build, but that is about it...maybe I will throw in power (168), but Skills, get the **** out of here

This is still the man who lost to Taylor and is in his 40's...for the Tarver fight, it was probably more of Tarver looking "Flat/drained" than anything else...not saying Bernard couldn't have beaten him Prime vs Prime, but we are talking about this fight and age of Hopkins.
