Good bit of work, there. I'm glad someone has listed Kessler's opponants, as I hardly know who they are.

Never fails to get a chuckle out of me, that one.

If Joe doesnt fight Kessler after Kessler himself calls him out, he misses out on a a good opportunity to not only unify the belts but to prove that he is the best SMW and hes not overrated, I think he should be worrying about "Active" fighters who want to fight him rather then an old Retired fighter like Hopkins.

Because he didn't want to admit he ducked the fight. You'd have to be insane to think it's plausible that Warren would offer only £50k for a unification fight.

Or maybe Kessler thought the offer was in Lira, not £.

There are much worse fights to mention, but none to date.

And to say Kesslers opposition is equal to/better than Calzaghe's is ******, Kessler has two good names on his record, just two.

                    Calzaghe has a hand full.

True - he did dominate both fights, but he looked poor - for him - in both. To win one-handed is an achievement against anyone, but again before that I didn't think he was looking great. He admitted as much himself.

Kessler has no names on his record as far as I'm concerned, and I doubt Kessler's fans would disagree. From what I've seen he looks a worthy challenger (and, regardless of holding 2 belts, he is the challenger), but he's still an unknown quantity with a resume far inferior to Lacy's which has, in hindsight, been derided. He looks good, but then Lacy looked like the second coming according to the yanks ... until March of course.

Somebody mentioned the second Veit fight in Germany - that was the one for me that made me think Calzaghe could still do it against Lacy. I thought it was an excellent performance and it looked like he had finally put his personal problems behind him.

Maybe I should watch it again. At the time I thought he looked slower than usual, his footwork was poor and he was pretty wild. It actually had me a little worried going into the Lacy fight. If he'd have fought like that in the Lacy fight he would of probably walked on to one.
