I would love to see Floyd fight Margarito, but only after Baldomir, DLH, Mosley, Spinks, and Cotto. And thats if Hatton won't come back to 147. And thats only if there is nobody else who proves their worth over Margarito. IMO and many others, Margarito's victories don't equal much and niether does fighting Clottey over Williams. It makes me wonder who the real boxing fans are when they question why Floyd isn't fighting Margarito over some of those other guys. I don't see how they could possibly think Margarito is better than the others, yet they bash him for not fighting the best.

Thing is most of those you mentioned have gone on record to say they wont fight Margarito.

I can understand you feel Margarito hasn't earned his spot. But when nobody wants to fight the guy then how can you say he isn't avoided.

Margarito would give every single fighter hell, from jr. middleweight and down. I just don't understand how you or anybody can say he hasn't fought anybody. Any real boxing fans knows Margarito and what he brings to the table.

You/people should just be honest with the hate about Margarito and just tell it like it is.

Truth be told, by Margarito defeating Mayweather, Margarito then defeats all his oppertunities to fight the other fighters, to stay undefeated and to run his mouth off as the best p4p. Margarito is the fighter that can end it all for Mayweather and so people are descrediting him.

I belive the hype that Williams gets is in a way a push for him to fight Margarito and possably defeating Margarito.

Or if Mayweather and his people were smart, they'd go about it the same way Angelo Dundde went about a fight between Leonard and Hearns............................................ .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .....................................Quote "Not right now, not right now...I can tell when a fight is going to be big, when its going to be juice, i can sense it. Right now, Hearn v. Leonard is not big yet...Im the one who refused the Hearns fight, not Ray. " -Angelo Dunddee

Mayweather need to take a look at the history books and be honest with themselves.

Margarito had 11 or 12 fighters call him out a couple months ago, so obviously that doesn't make him too feared. Some of the guys that called him out were much better than Clottey. Williams is his mandatory and considered better than Clottey. So even if he is overrated, at least he would be getting his mandatory out of the way. This doesn't look too good for Margarito.

As for your argument about Floyd losing his P4P status and remain unbeaten if Marg. beats him..... He loses it no matter who beats him.

I don't think that Margarito does not deserve consideration, but there are a half dozen other guys out there who are head and shoulders above him who Floyd should be fighting. And probably another half dozen who deserve the fight as much as Margarito.

Any real boxing fan knows what Margarito brings to the table and knows that he is sloppy and easily beatable by a good boxer.

Those fighters you mentioned all belived they could get a pention check out of Margarito. They all wanted insane money, because of their status theirs no way they were going to get Mayweather or Winky type of money.

At welterweight, besides Baldomier, who else is more deserving of a shot at Floyd?

Cotto? What he done at welterweight? Hatton? Very close win against Collazo sent him back to jr. welterweight. So who's left? Add that Delahoya may not fight again. So whos next?

Floyds people should be repeting what Angelo Dundde once said when people were talking that "Ray was DUCKING Hearns."

There really isn't much at WW to be honest. Outside of Floyd, Baldy and Judah, nobody has really proven much. Mosley is no doubt more deserving and coming back to 147. Cotto has beaten some good fighters, but you're right about him just getting to WW. Thats why I've always said Cotto vs. Floyd in a year and a half or after, but I think he has earned much more than Marg. At 140, Hatton is a tough match and in one fight at WW has beaten better competition than Margarito. At 154, DLH, Spinks and Karmazin are all better fights for Floyd than Margarito.
Those guys are OBVIOUSLY more proven and tougher fights for Floyd. Williams, Quintana, Viv Harris, Hlatswayo and a lot of guys at 154 could be considered better fights for Floyd. Its not about WW for Floyd like you seem to think (judging by your post), its about the bigger names combined with bigger paydays. There are much bigger names out there than Margarito right now. If all of boxing ended today forever, who would remember Margarito in 10 years?
I understand that some people think its going to be a big puncher that is going to beat Floyd, but I totally disagree. Floyd has more trouble with guys that can box. He has never had trouble with a big puncher.

I guess you forgot about mosley. Mayweather isn't a big welterweight so hatton can go back to welterweight for a showdown with mayweather if he has the guts that is.

No those fighters horsemen mention feels disrespected cause margarito calls himself the most fear fighter. 12 legit fighters call him out but the person he and his team choose is the weakest list and that's the number 5 rank wbo contender in clottey.
