whats so overhyped about him? i generally don't see a lot of fans other then folk from the british isles that really have a high opinion (at least on a p4p scale). calzaghe has ate his steady diet of former champions in brewer, woodhall and reid and also beat up on a young omar sheika when his name meant something other than a durable punching bag.

he's done enough to be celebrated in this day and age; let's not get too carried away.

Everyone has something to say about the Lacy victory now (jeff was too green, one dimensional) but no one had anything negative to say about Jeff before the Calzaghe fight.

The guy can fight. Plain and simple.

Calzaghe was real impressive against Lacy.

Against Bika, even though he won by UD, he didn't fight good. I didn't like the way he fought, ex. he was clincing a lot. In the 1st round, Joe was landing punches to the head but he was holding Bika's head and the ref was in front of them and didn't warn Joe. With the head but(accidental) by Bika, didn't give a warning, just deducted points. Joe was showboating(his not good at it) also, probably cuz his fight is showing in HBO. He deserved the win, but iif it look like if the fight is close, it will be a hometown decision. Most of his fights are in Britian with fghts in Denmark and Germany. I am not sold on JC yet.
