is there styles just made for boxers? like Holyfeild and Joe Calzaghe?
Jeff Lacy and Mike tyson

Tyson was nothing like Jeff Lacy,Tyson when he had Cus D'Amato was quite unstoppable, when D'Amato died,Tyson's technique wasnt as good,he forgot all about using what made him so great, but he still ruled the division before all the bull**** started happening,i wonder if we'll get anyone like Tyson again

Tyson coming out of exile was better than Jeff Lacy now.
Tyson's 220 pound body was able to move faster than Jeff's, that says something.
Comparing a prime Tyson vs Jeff is not even worth talking about.

actually compairing mike tyson under damato to mike tyson under rooney is a joke the one under rooney that was koing holmes in 4 berbick in 2 and so on and so forth was an unstopable beast...the one under damato was good but didnt move like the rooney versionComment

yes, this is true...also, if you look at the fights, it is kind of weird, but once Mike starting wearing the Black Shorts/Black shoes, on a permanent basis, that is when he became "Iron Mike Tyson"...I have to go back to my tapes, but it is almost like he went from a wild power puncher with speed, to a calm, but aggressive, boxer.
That was the plan though: D'amato had setup a plan for Rooney to follow in order for Tyson to continuelly to get better...Last edited by Abe Attell; 10-14-2006, 07:22 PM.Comment

I still will try to look over my tapes tomorrow, but it was almost like it was a change in just a short time period, from one fight to the next.
It's kind of like a guy that is so hyped up on adrenaline/testosterone when he spots beaver for the first time and just wants to pound it, but after a while of catching it, you know what to expect and you know what to do.Comment
