The WBC dictator, Mexican Suleiman has stated that a new and very unusual rule is in effect for the unification fight:
If Beyer suffers ANY damage to his head from a clash. And it doesn't matter if it is accidental - Then:
A. The Referee has to deduct Kessler 1 point immidiately,
B. Beyer will be given the rest of the fight to decide if he is fit to continue. this means he can fight on, and if he is behind on points at some point in the fight - he can just call it a day and not loose the WBC belt.
This rule is ONLY for the WBC belt, not the WBA one.
WBC and Sauerland are really corrupt "peeleft:
The WBA of course protested this very strage rule. a rule that the WBC normally only enforces in Germany and never in the US (simply because too many people are watching). Now apparently they want the rule to be in effect in this unification fight.
Sulaiman is destroying the image and legacy of one of the oldest belts. If the WBC continues with such blatant corruption they should be looked upon as a inferior organization - and possibly the WBO take their place.Last edited by jangeorg; 10-14-2006, 02:32 AM.Comment
