The March continues for WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev (45-0, 33KOs), who is tentatively scheduled to return to the ring on January 27 against an opponent yet to be announced, but the seven-foot giant would like for it to be against one of the other three heavyweight champions. [details]

none of the champs are gonna be ready in January. they just say that he wants them to make it look like unification is possible. he's scheduling fights so that he doesn't have to fight the other champs is what he's doing. he'll do this for another 2 years trying to get to 50-0.Comment

Regardless of what his or Don King's intentions are, I like the fact that(at the moment) he's staying busy and fighting frequently. What I make of this is, that Valuev wants to improve by staying busy and make some fans along the way. And if he can fight 3-4 times in 2007, I might jump on the bandwagon too.none of the champs are gonna be ready in January. they just say that he wants them to make it look like unification is possible. he's scheduling fights so that he doesn't have to fight the other champs is what he's doing. he'll do this for another 2 years trying to get to 50-0.
Also, how about giving a rematch to Larry Donald?Comment

He's mandated to fight the Chagev-Ruiz winner, but since they don't fight until November, they won't be ready either (like SiN said, you can rule out Klitschko or Liahovich, and Maskaev is fighting in December). This will be another showcase for Valuev, probably against somebody like McCline (like boxingguy126 said) or DaVarryl Williamson. Think DK fighters, though McCline isn't one. It will be somebody with a smidgeon of talent but not enough to scare Valuev's people.Comment
