That's what I mean by saying Joe Calzaghe is a better 'boxer', because he boxes, Hameds defense was his reflexes, and his power did the rest for him..

Lewis was never able to get over with the American public like Naseem Hamed. Calzaghe stands a chance of getting over because of his ability, but his time is running out to cross over.

Calzaghe is still undefeated, and Hamed was beaten by one of the best Mexican fighters of all time, who was in his prime.

Lennox Lewis was POPULAR because he was HW champ OF THE WORLD... But that didn't make him AN awesome fighter.. JUST BIG.. Talent wise the best UK boxers I have seen would be Hamed,Calzaghe, Eubank and to a lesser degree Nigel Benn.. but Benn was more tough and Strong then he was a Great Boxer..

No. Calzaghe has the gift of speed and power while young, was unbeatable.

Now that he's older, he's still quite fast yet is a technically superior boxer than anyone in his division.

Take away Hamed's speed and youth, he would have lost to an old version of Barrera. Why? Coz he never had the fundementals like that of Calzaghe.

Hamed was excellent at Bantamweight and a huge puncher at Featherweight, plus destroyed many other of the best fighters around.

Calzaghe although technically better im not sure that he is or ever will be better than Hamed was. He doesnt have the opposition that Hamed had.

It depends how u interperate 'best boxer', but Hamed (as much i i despise him) has been far more impressive than Calzaghe as a fighter.

Joe isn't better than the prince. For one I think that when u say prince uses reflexes and things of that nature and fights awkward, that's because its natural for him he's a natural. Calazaghe looks like he tries to b what the prince was doing naturally..I was watching that Bika Calazaghe fight when he dropped his hands thinkin cmon that's no prince he will never b and it costed him a cut over his eye. I think he's studyin the prince's techniques. and prince had more power for his weight division then calazaghe does for his..prince was dropping fools
