Castillo I or Jesus Chavez were much tougher than that, **** the first half of the Judah fight was.
That came straight from Mayweather's mouth. He said it on one of Boxing+alk's tuesday night chats a while back. I'm sure if you search their site you'll find it.

Mayweather has said for years that Augustus gave him his toughest fight.

Yes Floyd was taking all the rounds on points, but Augustus was taking everything Floyd was throwing, planting his feet and throwing back.

If you don't believe him that Augustus was his thoughest fight just look at him at the end of that fight. He nose was busted up and bloody. It's the most hurt I've seen put on Floyd.

And, as usual, Augustus was fighting Floyd on just over a week's notice.

If floyd was winning all the rounds on points then how was that floyd toughest fight? i don't get that. Castillo was easily floyds toughest opponent ever in the first fight.

When did floyd say that gatti was great after the fight?

are reffering to when he was on his knees crying on the ground? cause he is saying "GOD is great" not gatti...

And mayweather was clearly the most damaged after the augustus fight. ive never seen mayweather take so many big shots and be bleeding from the nose. dont get me wrong, he hardly took much damage and wasnt in very bad shape at all. u know?

And mayweather has said that augustus was his toughest fight, even though i kinda get the feeling he is saying that to spite some of his other opponents. but maybe not.

and saying augustus is better then Everyone at 140 is rediculous. Hatton-augustus would be a great fight, but hatton is superior to augustus in almost every aspect. The margin is small, but its still there

And I don't get how you don't get it. I would guess you haven't seen the fight, which would be the explaination.

I think there was a clip of it in the audio interview this thread links to.

Floyd got the better of the exchanges, but Augustus made him fight every second of every round, and threw back at al times.

Again, he had Floyd bloody and seemed to have bust him up more so than anyone has to date.

And floyd said after his fight with gatti that gatti is a great fighter lol the same gatti that floyd said before the fight that gatti is a c level fighter.
Floyd said that right after the Gatti fight while he was still in the ring.

He's said this of Augustus since the fight and for years after. There's a difference.

                A) How many Augustus fights have you seen?

                B) Did you see Floyd vs Augustus?
