They should have gotten David Estrada, he gave Cintron and Mosley all they can handle. Would have been a great test for Williams. And i still belive they could have gotten someone better then Kauhn.

He hit cintron with some decent shots and was eventually KOed, Mosley dominated him, period. There is no question, Mosley dominated him. If the argument isnt in your favor you ALWAYS shift it or slant it to it will favor you, it wouldnt matter.

I think the reason for the fight was to make it on the same card as PBF. So PBF can get a look first hand at what he might be fighting down the road. Williams might be the one cat that could give PBF all he can handle. Williams one weakness is he has suspect defense, and thinks he can trade and be ok because his punches will do more damage.

To beat mayweather he would have to use his reach and height advantage to make mayweather be the agressor instead of the counter puncher.

I'm looking forward to it, I think Paul Williams is an exciting fighter.

Honestly, if you don't understand why Augustus has 27 loses then you are not a real boxing fan. If you ask Floyd Mayweather who his toughest fight to date is you will hear him give props and respect to none other than Emanuel Augustus. Augustus has been very unfocused in the past, and he admits smoking pot up to 30 minutes before a fight. I've also never seen a fighter get as many robbed decisions as Augustus has. Probably half of those 27 loses should be wins. The other half is due to short notice fights and his pot-smoking days.

Yes, boxing politics is how Urkal got ranked so high. He fought for the WBA 140-pound title twice, lost both (one by KO) and moved up. He's fought 3 unranked bums at WW and all of a sudden he's the #1? That is boxing politics at its finest.

As for Gutierrez, Clottey did not struggle with him. Just because Marty Denkin thought it was a draw doesn't mean anything. Remember the Tarver-Johnson fight where Johnson clearly won? Well, Denkin was the one judge who had it for Tarver 8 rounds to 4 (116-112)!!!!

Also, on the undercard of Williams - Matthysse, Marty Denkin scored the GONZALEZ VS. MONTIEL fight for Montiel. Everyone and their mother saw Gonzalez clearly manhandle the smaller Montiel, but not Denkin. There is a reason he's usually the ref and not the judge in a fight.

We all know why this opponent was chosen for Williams: he's a tomato can who's expected to just get KO'd in 3 or 4. He's a showcase fight and they probably selected him a few weeks ago and only released the name now so that it's short notice and nobody complains about the quality of the opposition.
