Can Brock Derail The Klitschko Express?

The boxing establishment always tries to anoint the next great heavyweight because regardless of what people say about the lower weight classes providing better fights the Heavyweight Champion has always been the sport’s most influential ambassador except in rare cases when special champions like Oscar De La Hoya, Ray Robinson, and Ray Leonard have carried the sport. I put the chances as pretty low, but stranger things have happened.

It would be a bigger upset than either Brewster or Sanders if it happened, that's for sure. Both men were much more talented than "The Boxing Banker".

I disagree.......Brock is a damn good Boxer better than both of whom you mention but I don't know if he has the Chin or Power to win like they did.......I will be cheering for Brock but don't know if he will win....can he sure but I would not be willing to bet on it.

Barrett is no bum and Valuev is the only guy to stop him since Wladimir Klitschko, which says something. Barrett was good enough to go the distance with Rahman, Guinn, Mesi etc. I would peg him at a B- level. If he was a bum, Rahman would have walked right through him.

Valuev is one of the five best heavyweights on the planet right now. He's better than Rahman IMO. I would put him in the same group with Wlad, Peter, Sergei, and Toney as the "best of the best" with Maskaev just behind them.

What a terrible, terrible, division though. One of the least talented in heavyweight history.

Brock has skill but he does not have the talent of Sanders or Brewster, who both possessed great chins, a lot of power, and fast hands in the case of Sanders. To me talent is chin, power, quickness, things that can't be learned. Brock has some skill but lacks the talent to be a top heavyweight IMO. He's a jack of all trades who does everything pretty decently but nothing very well.
