    absolutely #1. without question.

These guys train harder then any player in any other sport. Mostly because training plays such a huge role in the sport, and its all us fans can follow for the months leading up to the fight.

John madden himself said that he had never seen an athlete in better shape then marvin hagler

      where is basketball!?!?!?!?!????

i'd say basketball players are the best overall athletes. actually, on second thought, i don't think any of them are better coordinated than old school wushu guys.

To me, fighters are the best trained athletes in the world. The World Class fighters are at the top of the food chain IMO.
Fighters run, they jump rope, hit heavy bag, speed bag, mitts. They do calisthenics; IE, sit ups, push ups, etc. Then they Spar. What other athlete has that kind of training regimen?

Gymnasts don't Spar, but the Olympic Gymnasts go through a grueling regimen

Boxing is number 1 out of that list, but triathelets are clearly superiorly conditioned.

Boxing should be # 1 of course, unless you included UFC.
those other athletes would trainer even harder, but they receive no facial reconstruction!

ok, you werent serious with Golf were you ?? lol

might as well add baseball next to it.

                now to answer your question..

Boxing is definitely one of the top sports on that list, after that, I must say World Football (which we call soccer in America) is next most physically challenging. 90 minutes of non-stop running with only 1 break in between, now thats tough.

I think boxers have to train the hardest. But basketball takes the most skill. As in stuff you have to practice to be good at not just your athleticism.
