Tired of Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant

Are you getting tired of Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant telling you what to think of the fights or is it just me ? Now don't get me wrong I still think they are the best at what they do but I am so sick of them telling me that I am watching a boring fight. It seems a little strange to me that they do it in the first place because you'd think that part of thier job would be to make the audience more interested. Yet all I seem to hear from them now a days is how unactive the fighters are and how bored they are too have free front row seats for all the biggest fights .
What I can't understand is how they do it without HBO stepping in to say " Hey wtf are you two doing"? It's as if they are telling us all to change the channel half the time. They are two of the biggest faces and names in the boxing world and to me this only hurts boxing by having them speak in this matter. In conclusion why not keep your personal feelings to yourseves and for gods sake Larry stop with the Jerry Springer type final thoughts.
Like I said I think they are both great and would miss them dearly if they were to leave. I just think they need to change their approach on "bad fights" .

Jim is good but Emanuel Steward I think should take Larry's place. Steward is smarter and has a more exciting delivery.

kellerman is good. that black guy on BAD is TERRIBLE!!! how he got an HBO spot i will never know...

I'm really liking showtimes combo, and they only need 2 guys to get the job done. and grey is a great interviewer. and he gets his questions out fast, unlike larry merchant.

both great squads and they both do a great job when they need to.

like, when a fighter i really like is about to fight on HBO, im always interested in what merchant and lampley are gonna say about my fighter cause i respect their opinions a TON. like when Hatton fought on HBO just a little while back

yeah i loved before the spinks/karmazin fight when jim grey basically toungue in cheek made fun of spinks for getting knocked out after rapping on his way to the ring and asks if hes gonna do it again.

and spinks says something along the lines of...

cause thats what corey spinks do and corey spinks always gone do what corey spinks do.....

          and jim grey goes...

"well tell me corey, what exactly do corey spinks do?"

I like Larry but he more then anyone sounds like he hates being at the fight . Maybe it's just his voice or maybe he's lost love for the sport, I don't know. But when they tell us Barrett has never beat anyone worth mentioning you are telling the part time fans and non fans that the fight is not worth watching. It not only hurts the sport but it also then hurts HBO and the fighter named.

Lamps is good and and also Steward. All they need to add to the trio is Kellerman and dump Merchant at a AA meeting.

They're just too honest. Merchant is hilarious, he prides himself on disrespecting fighters.

"Wake me up, when something happens."- Larry lol.

It is funny a lot of the time but it is also a bit unprofessinal. Just look at some of the bad pub they have given Hopkins over the years but as soon as Hop blew up they were all over him with endless promos. Kellerman did the same thing years ago can't remember what fighter but he was talking alot of trash about the man then had the same boxer come on his show he was all smiles untill he was called out on it on air. That's two faced and dishonest reporting.

Well aside from that stuff. The way they completely flipflop within a fight is crazy. Last night during that Polish vs Australian guy. I was flipping between that and Corrales-Casamayor. In the beginning rounds, they are all talking about how great the Polish guy was I believe, especially Emmanuel. Nothing but praises about how well he's doing and everything right. I musta flipped and missed rounds 3-6 or so. By the time I flip back, all I hear is how the Polish guy is doing everything wrong now and he's not looking to good. The Australian guy(Briggs), is doing things right. It made me laugh because having skipped just about 3 rounds or so it was like listening to entirely new commentating.
