James Toney. JT wouldn't KO him...but he'd beat him to the punch easily. And he'd probably make Valuev miss so much that he'd throw his shoulder out of its socket and be the second man in the history of boxing to KO a guy without throwing one punch.

I think Toney would win........UD unless he stood in there and tried to exchange like he did with Peter.

Toney would jab the **** out of him and valuev would be too slow to hit toney flush, so i'm going with JT but at the end it would probably be really boring because Toney would be tired from valuev pushing on him and valuev would be tired from missing so many shots.

How can James Toney lose this one? Nickolai Valuev is fitter than Sam Peter but lacks his firepower and is slow, mechanical and predictable. Toney put on a poor performance against Peter and won easily. Barrett put on a poor performance against Valuev but hit him easily, yet Barrett does not have half of Toney's skill. Expect to hear Toney calling out Valuev in the near future!

i dont know. I wouldn't bet on Toney to win this fight.

Valuev, on top of being hungry, one of the best attributes for a boxer to have, has proven two things to me that I doubted him for

                  1. his stamina is amazing for his size

                  2. his clinching allows for excellent recovery

toney doesnt hit hard enough to put him away..plus I feel like Don would prefer Valuev to win...valuev will become a huge ticket selling attraction cuz hes' a freak so imo don would get toney robbed even if he won! so I wouldn't pick james toney. valuev's jab would get to toney and valuev focuses on technique with that right hand much more than he does power, he focuses on technique so he hits you with a decent quick shot expelling little to no energy... I see that right hand landing on Toney, and honestly if this fight happened, I'd expect it to go to the cards, with Toney winning it in reality, but the judges ****in toney and giving it to valuev thanks to the hunk of change in their bank from their good buddy Don K.

Sam Peter does not have a great jab but he landed it with alarming success against Toney. Valuev would do the same, but he has even more of a reach and height advantage to allow him to keep Toney on the outside. Toney would be hard pressed to land his counter even on the occassions the jab misses. I just don't see Toney landing very often, assuming Valuev keeps him on the outside and clinches whenever he gets too close. Toney would tire very quickly, because he's so much smaller and would have so much weight leaning on him in every clinch. Let's also not forget the age factor, which does effect stamina, especially in Toney's case where he hasn't been taking care of his body.

Toney is clearly a much better boxer but I think Valuev would win a comfortable decision or even stop Toney late if he gets tired enough.
