Valuev is a big strong man in a weak and pathetic division. Both Donald and Ruiz have called him out yet Beck and Barrett get the fights. The reason Valuev is ducking Donald and Ruiz is because his handlers know he can't box worth a damn and he would likely lose the rematch.

I dislike him for his puffed-up record.

i think it's a good thing that Valuev stopped Barrett, otherwise, there'd be a ton more "Valuev's nothing special" threads everywhere.. Valuev has amazing stamina for his size and he's smart.. he's got the fundamentals down.. anyone expecting him to be a Tyson-like KO artist simply because of his size is expecting too much.. he did well though

also the ref in this fight did a HORRIBLE job IMO.. thank god for Barrett's cornerman..

I was worried there. You never want to see a fighter get seriously hurt when you can do something to prevent it.

Man I didnt know Valuev was the 7 footer lol I thought Serj was that guy..

Anyway I'm 6'6 and still growing and I admire this man's skill, stamina and balance in the ring. He kept the same pace the entire night and capitalized once barett was slowed down to his speed.

It aint easy being big, but valuev seems to pull it off nicely

Not impress w/ Valuev...yet. I had a hard time watching that fight, it was gross. Barret's face being rubbed against Valuev's sweaty hairy gorilla chest and armpit was too graphic for me.

To a certain extent Valuev has proven himself, but I'd make Klitschko, Lyakhovich and Peter favourites to beat him. He's so big he's liable to cause problems for anyone but he's been taking on guys who haven't been able to hurt him.

Only person who can beat him that i know of is Klitscho, because he is tall enough to straight-punch the guy, not just throw loopers. Peter, who is the king of loopers could possibly win as well.
