    No Valuev discussion, I note...

... I know that Diego has brought even more attention on himself with the weight issue, and that the Valuev-Barrett fight is such a shameless "business only" match-up that's so predictable I've put £50 on the big Russian, but I thought I'd see one thread about it.

      LOL! At you avatar.

I think the Corrales inccident has just taken over, especially with how Corrales over reacted when Castillo couldn't drop the weight and now the shoe is on the other foot.

I have seen Valuev and King on Tv so i think a lot of people are still going to tune in, but imo, the hardcore boxing fans are going to tune in to the Casamayor v. Corrales fight, and watch the Valuv fight on replay.

ull be able to watch both. Because of the undercard, the valuev fight will prolly start close to 11.

And because of the darchinyan fight, the corrales fight will air at around 10, maybe 9:30 even. So ull definetly be able to watch both the valuev and corrales fights.

**** all, I'll probably get about £3.50 back off the £50.

I just have "sure fire" bets (if there is such a thing) to counterbalance my bets on underdogs.

I've got fourteen on the same bet slip, with doubles. My underdogs include Cassamayor and Baldomir. In fact, that last name has netted me £100 already this year, so he's good by me whatever happens.

Personally, I don't think the pot odds are good enough for me. I only choose the underdog and only if I think he is going to win. Valuev just barely sc****d his way past Donald and Ruiz, so it should be clear to anybody that Barrett has a good chance of winning. The reason I not betting on Barrett is that he has a habit of blowing big fights. Nevertheless, if Barrett puts on one of his better performances don't be surprised if there is an upset.

Like I say, I balance the odds on a bet slip with 14 bets... 8-10 favourites with the rest the underdogs that I fancied.

I disagree that Barrett has more than a slim chance.

i'm interested in seeing how Valuev does tonight.. but Tomasz Adamek vs. Paul Briggs 2 is the real gem on that HBO card...

both cards should be at least decent
