    Is Corrales a legitament contender @ 147

Its been reported that Corrales killed himself to make the 135 limit and was living off ice cubes for a whole week and came into the weigh in 5lbs over. This probably means he is too big for 140 as well. So that means he will likely be moving up to welterweight.

Is he a legitament contender @ 147? Even with all the question marks about his chin? And will his power carry over with him with naturally bigger guys?

hard to say. he's never fought any where near there.

the power he would have at that wait could be rediculous. He could be in a TON of amazing fights, with his lack of defense, questionable chin, and supreme power.

I honestly think he could be. A corrales cotto fight could be sweet down the line

i would love to see chico vs. cotto......that would be a war....i doubt if he goes straight to 147 but he always said his career would max out at 147....and it seems more and more that my boy's hall of fame career might be winding down....

Its hard to make a judgement from fighting Mayweather, since he almost always beat his opponents in a convincing fashion. There is a reason why a lot of boxing experts regard him as the number 1 P4P fighter in the world.

huh??? that fight was at 130 pounds...

that fight didnt prove anything other then the fact that chico struggles with slick boxers, which was already known.

at 147, its a whole different story for chico

Is Mayweather jab is stronger than Castillo uppercuts and hooks?

no ofcourse. If Corrales could stand in front of Castillo for 10 round I think he could fight a full 12 round with another guy if he is fighting his fight.

It just the Mayweather fight where Corrales got a reputation of bad chin. I not saying that his chin is granite but I saying that his chin is not glass and could hold a couple of punchs just watch the Frietas fight.
