Bit Confused about somethin Ricky Hatton said

I was readin boxin monthly an the guy said how would you beat Prettyboy Floyd, and he said Duran-Leonard 1

I dont know but i think that fight would be a strange comparison

i mean Duran taunted,Goaded Ray all the way upto the fight and made him brawl and fight his fight

has Hatton ever seen this fight his style is nothin like Duran's

PBf wouldn't get into a brawl if he didnt have to

    ????? Opinions

Yeah, it is a ****** comparison, in every way imaginable. Hatton had a chance to prove his worth against Collazo and blew it. Nobody was impressed, and everybody knows that Mayweather will make short work of Hatton.

no its a good comparison. Hes not sayin his style is like durans, hes saying thats how the fight needs to go if he wants to win.

He needs to get mayweather in close and fight his fight.

if he WAS comparing the 2 fights, then i think he is wrong, but i dont think he is

I still can't get my head round why so many people say this and think it's a legit statement.

Collazo = natural welter + southpaw.

Floyd = not a natural welter (like Hatton) + orthodox (though can turn southpaw).

I'm not saying Hatton would beat Floyd, I'm not saying he wouldn't, I'm just saying comparing eggs with bananas does not a point make.

Obviously not, the majority of the people who've posted in this thread give Hatton a chance.

According to HBO, Hatton weighed more than Collazo on fight day. At 147, Mayweather doesn't have to dehydrate himself to make weight. So, please enlighten us, HOW DOES DEHYDRATION PRODUCE A "NATURAL" WEIGHT?

No need to shout, brother. I'm sure you know perfectly well what I mean anyway. Hatton OR Floyd don't have the physique to be natural welters now, do they?

Floyd wouldn't get into a brawl, and if he did he would still use his skills. He would definently beat Hatton I don't know if he'd stop Hatton though.

i think hatton was just making a statement on how he thinks is the perfect way to beat mayweather and that is in a similer way in wich duran beat leonard. i dont believe for one second that hatton thinks mayweather is that dumb to get into a trading fight with himself because 1) mayweather fights using hes brain and likes to pick hes shots 2) mayweather would get knocked out fighting this way.
