Corrales' lawsuit is completely baseless now. Arum is laughing his ass off as I write this.

It would be different if he came in at 137 or even 138, but at 140, like the earlier poster said, he ripped Castillo for not notifying him a couple of days before the weigh-in...well, why didn't he notify Casamayor?

Or did Vic, wanting the main event spot again, sneak into his hotel room and hypnotize him and then serve him some pasta?

I wonder if Lamps or Merchant will take a not-so veiled shot at Showtime for their fights not coming through. Much like the shot Lampley took at Lacy the night he was embarassed in Manchester, ruining the results for those on the west coast in the US.

thats why i want the fight to be cancelled. as much as i hate casamayor, it would be terrible to see him get KOed because of weight problems

I just hope Corrales/Castillo 3 happens in the future because of this.

Great point about Corrales needing to recognize that sometimes making weight just isn't in the cards. I'm sure he tried, but he can no longer presume Castillo intentionally didn't make weight because he himself was off by five pounds as was Castillo.

Isn't it only "fair" that Corrales take as much flak as Castillo did? Yes, I know it's one time for Diego and it was twice for Castillo (three if you cound the very unstable catch-weight Rolando Reyes fight), but five pounds is five pounds. Again, we're not talking ounces here.

Like the earlier poster said, will Showtime have Casamayor as a guest analyst (if the fight is off) and have a Corrales bash fest? And will Gary Shaw be ripped for not knowing the situation like Arum was? Will Goosen advise Casmayor not to take the fight like he did Corrales?

If not, it's hypocrites all around. Showtime has to take Corrales to task for this.
