    Casamayor on Corrales and Castillo

Joel Casamayor: (Laughs) He couldn’t adapt during the other two fights. What makes you think he can adapt now? Those wars damaged him. There’s no way they could’ve helped him. If you wanna come down to it, we can still look at the two Castillo fights. Like you said, we (Casamayor and Corrales) have an opponent that’s very alike (Castillo). I dominated Castillo the first eight, nine rounds. I clearly won. He (Corrales) got smashed the first time and smashed the second time (against Castillo). The mouthpiece incident is what saved him from getting knocked out in the first fight.

I know Diego like to mix it up, but I never understood why Diego didn't fight "tall"...maybe he should of tried to get Emanuel a long time ago to fix him

In some ways it reminds me of how Melrick Taylor had a great ability to box his opponents, but he loved to go toe to toe to dam much

I think most likey they were trying to put on a show, so the Deigo that came to fight Castillo, was not the same one. He completely stood still from the start of the first round up until the end where he was knocked down twice and he gave up, I think against Casamayor hes gonna come back or if the Castillo fight did change him, might be a very close and awkward fight

Casamayor lost to Castillo, if he doesn't think so, i hope he defeats Corrales and then calls out Castillo, i bet he won't if he wins. Corrales has been a ***** about Castillo inccident, so i'll probably be rooting for Casamayor, even though he looked like **** in his last fight. But i don't expect Corrales to be the same since his fight with Castillo, that chin is even more dented since his fight with Casamyor.

Casamayor is one of the biggest talkers in the sport, if the guy spoke english more would realize this.

I remember the hatred he spewd in the prefight against Freitas only to come out and not start fighting at all until round 6(he has a solid record of doing this type of crap).

Casamayor can certainly make the case that he should have gotten a couple of decisions in the past but if you watch all of his close fights you can clearly see a pattern, a pattern that suggests he is not a guy who likes to fight for 12 full rounds and it has obviously cost him.

Corrales needs to war with Joel, if he boxes he will lose...I think Diego is ready to make it a war but if he isnt and thinks he is going to move around and box Casamayor...I dont see him winning.

I think we are in for a repeat of there first fight, not their second...and Im changing my pick....Corrales by 7th round KO...god damn I know I said go with your instinct (which was JC W 12 UD) but I think Diego understands now more then ever that he is a brawler not a boxer...hopefully some of his dumb fans will follow suite.

Regardless of who you think won the Castillo v. Casa fight the last 4 rounds of that bout were absolutely brutal, Joel buiilt an early lead no question but then took the worst beating of his career in the championship rounds.

For anyone to suggest that Castillo was given a gift needs to watch Casamayor and his body language for the final 4 rounds and during the reading of that decision...NEVER, EVER EVER has Joel been so satisfied with just making it to the final bell, on that night he was much more staisfied with going the full 12 then getting the W.

That is the kind of beating he took and was able to withstand.
