    cotto vs. Mayweather

Assuming the miguel cotto won his next fight, do u think these guys would ever fight, now their in the same weight class? who would win? would it be close? Me personally i would love to see it. (if cotto can prove himself at that weight)

if cotto can beat quintana its possible,i bet mayweather has thought about it before so it would put cotto higher on mayweathers priority list, but sayin that, after floyd beats baldy, hatton will be close to his fight with urango,so maybe mayweather would look 2 cotto, then when hattons done with castillo,he might fight him

that would be pretty good actually

but if cotto vs mayweather ever happend i would give it floyd by ko,floyd aint got big shots but a flurry of hits on cotto could send him down

When Floyd was fighting with Top Rank, it seemed like this was a match up they were working towards.

Now that Arum's talking about Margarito Cotto, it looks like there's no Mayweather in the plans for either of those guys.

If they both keep winning, it will happen eventually.

I think that if Bob gives Cotto a good purse he would go for it, imo Floyd would win, but Cotto could give him a good fight...

After a few fights at 147, Cotto could be the guy to give PBF trouble. He has the boxing skills that a guy like Margarito lacks and more power than Hatton. I don't think he has much of a chance because of the difference in reach, but he certainly would have better odds (IMO) than Hatton, Margarito, Baldomir.

Quintana is enough for Cotto to deal with right now. Ask Joel Julio about looking past Quintana. Maybe Julio himself took Quintana seriously, but a lot of people thought that Quintana was just a roadblock for Julio temporarily, and look what happened.

This fight could be a classic.

I have never seen Quintana fight until Julio but after I saw that fight I really liked his boxing style. Quintana has great movement and ability to hit a guy at any angle. If there was a Quintana that was a middleweight, he would be the guy to beat Wright.

I think his movement makes it very difficult for anyone to hit him and thats why Julio has such a hard problem. I think this fight is very necessary for both of them and it will be a difficult one to score.

You also have to consider what it's going to be like for Cotto moving up to welterweight. Hatton was massive at 140, yet he was out of his depth at 147. I think you have to give Cotto a lot of credit for this fight regardless of what happens. And if he wins, it would not be right for anyone to dismiss Quintana, as he might be the best fighter Cotto has fought in his prime.
